April 25, 200719 yr Nope, the cooking guantlets don't effect the burn rate for monks. You never stop burning them, but it is very rare (1/5k+) at 99 cooking. Off topic: I'm 98 cooking headed for 99! :D Cooking Gauntlets do have an effect on monkfish despite what Jagex have hinted in the past. A number of the mods on this forum ran some tests a while back to find out and I beleive the answer was something like a 1.5% improvement. Sorry, I can't find the thread to back this up) but my own tests from level 70 to 80 cooking monks all the way back this up. Quod liet ingratum est; Quod non licet acrius urit.
