Captain BBQ Chicken Man's ultimate rival..." Well, I'm back - from my four month retirement and break of sorts, from event hosting. It's true that I am not TET anymore - my lounging around led myself to retire. Never fear though - Sheynara and company are doing a great job in continuing hosting events for the masses. This event came to me in a random moment of thought - and it's inspired by the small bit of Heroes (TV show) I watched, but mainly the improv game of "Super Heroes" from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" I went with this event over another event I was planning as my first under this event hosting label, since this allows for more interactivity. As this is not a TET event, we should hopefully get smaller crowds - so it won't be all chaotic. For a quick and easy summary, the point of the event is: For each person to think of a wacky super-hero, with costume, personality and super powers to boot, and roleplay in your characters role - to be one of the four selected to fight the petty crimes of RuneScape, alongside "Captain BBQ Chicken Man." I'm sure we won't be the most effective super-heroes. Our team name will be "Action League Now," nodding to the show of the same name. Onto the essential party details that you need to know: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Saturday, May 5th, 2007 UK Time: 10:00 PM Other Time Zones: 5:00 PM EST, 4:00 PM CST, 3:00 PM MST, 2:00 PM PST, 7:00 AM ACT (Next Day) Location: Falador Abandoned Mansion :: 2nd Floor Server: 7 (F2P) Attire: Super-hero costume of your design. Inventory Essentials: Anything that add to your character. Reason: Through an evaluation of merits, find four other super-heroes to rid Gielinor of crime and villainy. Notes: Read Below. It may work out, or it may not. But I can give the gist: it isn't a team, but rather a collaboration at times - of hosts with ideas to mash together to form a variety of events. Event hosting itself, should be as fun as the end result. Another goal the goes along, is to bring more attention to User Events. ZidaneCT Posted May 2, 2007 Author Share Posted May 2, 2007 With the "Gold Farmer" debate in full swing due today's news on the main Runescape site - the selected "Action League Now!" team of five will be stopping by trees to try to take down various packs of level 3 gold farmers. I still haven't written the storyline or in-depth information yet - but the quick and easy summary in the second paragraph and the "party details at a glance" is all you really need. Same goes with explaining what "Eternal Wind Events" is. I thought that after a four month break I'd be set - but I still loathe writing event posts. I'll get it done within the next two days. Since this is my first foray in the 'User Event Boards' - I don't expect much of a crowd outside #runescape (Tip.it's IRC Chat) and a few others that enjoy creative events, and aren't just going for material gain. It's an experiment at best, will more attention be brought to this forum?
