I got this game a few months back, and ive been going on it quite a lot recentley. Does anyone actually know how this game works? I mean if its supposed to be a tactical game, i just go around the different basesand taking them over with my one warrior, and i win like literally everytime, but that isnt much of a stratgey. How do you play this game? Strategically? Or not? The speed at which the warrior walks at is ultimatley slow aswell, is there anyway of speeding him up?

who do you use? and basically all i do is set my troops to defend take over most of the enemy solo then tell them to attack(you use the dpad to command them if you didnt know)

Lol no i didnt know. The person whom i use usually depends on the area that i am invading. P.S: Whats the dpad? :-k Is it the one with the arrow on? :-# lol

Empires games are rubbish IMO, I set troops to defend the commander..

I liked dynasty warriors, I saw it was dynasty warriors and bought it, never had time to return it.

I saw my friend playing on it aaaaaaaaages ago. I think ti was number two, took me until about 5 years later to actually get it (number 5), and i think that its an awesome game.

since when has dynasty warriors been about tactics :-s

 

 

 

back in my day it was good old fashioned running at a group of 50 odd peasants and killing them in one stroke of a spear, oh and running like hell from Lu-Bu.

Dpad is the alternative to the analog stick but are you playing xbox or playstation?

It was a great feeling cutting down your 500 victim in 20 mins only to have to run like a nutter from one skinny guy with a stick...

Dynasty Warriors is [developmentally delayed]ed imo. The only reason I played it was because it was the only kind of it's genre. But now Spartan Total Warrior came out and that is sooo much better.

It looks like a tactical game, because it looks so complicated lol, theres so much to it, and i play it on my xbox 360.

yeah its pretty cool on the 360 just read the manual

To win a level you need to take the main base, make the main leader retreat, or kill the main leader. If you want to make it a lot easier, play as the leader of your team, that way you don't have to defend anyone :wink:

i liked it but i always thought it was abit short

You have to take smaller bases over first dont you, because i went straight for the main base with hardly any other small bases, and it said i need a front line in order to take the main base over :-k

yeah you had to get the map to turn blue by taking over all there major small bases and then go for big one or there leader(who didnt turn up till you had takin out the smaller bases)

Yeh, i thought so. Do you know whether there is any ways to make your character move faster? Its so annoying when there is like hardley any time, and you have to walk miles to get to the next base that you need to take over

I've played empires 4 and 5. The DW games have so much potential to be better games, they could of been better games if the makers were interested in computer games, but they were only interested in milking the fans of the game for money instead. :|

 

Playing DW5 on co-op with my sis was fun though.

I used to hae number 2 on my ps2.

yea the best way 2 speed up is 2 go from the order screen 2 assign 2 equipment 2 production, by a harnes but make sur its for a horse and then wen u select the place u wana invade go 2 preperation before goin 2 start pik item and take the first spot. pik the harness. note that after this battle u wont get it bak...

Everything else is basicaly the same. jus doge if sum1 jumps neer u cuz theyl try nokin u off. jump off by urself at that point. im sure u guys no everythin else bout a horse, like the fact that most ataks stink from the top of a horse. ur on. iff ur not, adjust urself and keep jumpin until u get on. however, most ppl dont hav that problem and nor shood u.
