Jet410
Hey again lol. I asked before how to get/buy the domain name. Does anyone know how to make forums like Tip.it's? If this is against the rules for asking someone please tell me. I looked at the bottom it says its powered by phpBB. I visited the site, is that the right one? If so how do I make forums from there? P.S. The reason why I'm asking all of these questions is because I'm making a fansite for Runescape, totally different from Tip.it. No guides will be involved. There are already enough guide sites for Runescape, lol. Hey.
Mercifull
Yes phpBB is the software that Tip.it uses. Please read the documentation on their website, it is very helpful and explains minimum requirements and how to install etc. For the record, there's already more than enough Runescape forums as is it. How about you make a forum for something else which you are interested in and it might last more than a few months. mastermule52
Well, first off, I'll say if you intend to go through with it, you have a long road ahead! :P Here's a good place to start: http://us.php.net/manual/en/getting-started.php The refuge that you built to flee that places that you've come to fear the most ... is the place that you have come to fear the most.Operator - http://www.heartunit.orgCouncil - http://z8.invisionfree.com/skillazModerator - http://forum.meebo.com

Jet410
I didn't ask for your info. I can run a forum. I'm getting a ftp account soon. If you're not going to say anything useful then go somewhere else. Hey.
JoeDaStudd
I recommend that you start learning .PHP and HTML if you haven't already. I would also I advise on trying WAMP and setting up and running the forums locally before you go online. This way you can iron out any bugs first and it will also increase your php and html knowledge. Somnambulism
If you're not going to say anything useful then go somewhere else. It is useful because it could stop you trying to create runescape forum number 10^25, which has 5 visitors per month, gets spamvertised on decent forums and at the end of it all has wasted your time. So you got a host without ftp or sql databases? I suggest 1and1.com 25 sql databases (100mb ea) 10 ftp acounts 120gb webspace 2 free domains free @yourdomain.com emails so much stuff, I use ity all, i use 1and1 for my forums and websites. BTW, after setting up your PHP , make sure you set up your forum to cut down spam. if not you will receive like 200 porn spams on your forum. PHPBB3 is actually really good ways for stopping spam without you needing the knowledge of phpbb add-ons. vtm
You don't have to pay for a domain, forumcircle.com also hosts forums for free. Indeed, also, free forum hosts cant be trusted, hostinplace.com discontinued ALL FREE HOSTING AND SQL HOSTING withoutt notice, and so did f2g.net. Free hosts sometimes run out of money and have no choice to discontinue when they find out they are in gthe hole My BlogBring back jagex's "castle gamesdomain" thread
