Internet Explorer 7 help!

Well I'm typing this on the SwiftBrowse, used in SwiftSwitch, it's the only way I can go onto the internet.

Well here's what happened. I'm browsing in TIF the other day, and suddenly, everything comes up as "Internet Explorer cannot display the page". I usually just unplug this cord in my router, plug it back in and it's fixed. I tried that - it didn't work. I restarted the computer, that didn't work.

I tested my connection, it was perfect. For some reason, IE7 won't let me go surf the internet. I can still play Runescape on SS, and I can go on the internet with SwiftBrowse. I'd really appreciate it if somone could give me some advice. :)

make sure your not behind some proxy --

Open internet explorer, click on tools - Internet Options - Connections - Lan settings, make sure automatically detect settings is checked.

primadog, I just did exactly what's stated in your post, but it's still the same. The 'net is still 'connecting' and won't load full.

Edit - the same thing is happening. Thanks for the help, anyways.

A possibility is that it updated itself and now is not recognized by your fire wall.

Perhaps check your firewall settings, if you have one, to ensure it's allowing IE to get through?

Just a Suggestion probaly won't do much more than Clean up some Disk Space: Run Disck Cleanup to get rid of your browser Files and cookies. you may have too much stuff there and it won't load any more... its probaly not the case but Iv gotten some wierd things happening to me simmaler to your problem becouse of too much browser cach being stored.

Thats for supporting tip.it, you are doing a great job.

It's also against the rules to block the Runescape ads if you a f2p person.

Dang. But it is undetectable...

Anyway, just download FireFox. See if that works.

Installed Firefox. Same crap is happening <.< .

And Bradley, I didn't find anywhere I could right click the lan settings and repair.

The two little computers by your clock that blink on and off... Right click those and hit repair, it should say something like "Renewing your IP address" and will either freeze there and eventually cancel because it can't or it will zip through faster than you can read it.

don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?

Try this:

-Go to command prompt. (Start>Run>type "cmd">Press Enter)

-Type "ipconfig" (no quotes), Press enter

If the it shows the IP address as 0.0.0.0 type "ipconfig /renew" (no quotes, space between ipconfig and /renew.) Press enter and you will have an IP.

Hope it helps.
