June 21, 200719 yr I first heard beatboxing probably on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air a few years back, when Will Smith was clinking his glasses and laying down some beats. I was intrigued. I searched for 'mouth percussion' on the internet and found a ton of stuff about beatboxing. I was hooked, and began practicing quite a bit. My few favorite beatboxers are Roxorloops, Rahzel and Joel Turner. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

I also have a friend who knows how to beatbox, I use to rap over it all time until he moved. Good luck with getting really good at, I'm sure that you without a doubt will become better than me at it. :P

I never said you insulted him, or rap/hip-hop for that matter. Don't put words in my mouth. Why would you come into a thread about something that obviously dislike? Just to say you dislike it, then say it could be a moneymaker at the end so it wouldn't be regarded as spam? It just doesn't make much sense. That's why I said leave if you don't like it, or else there's not really much of a reason for you to be here.

I can't find a good vid of it, but whenever I think about beatboxing, the first thing that comes to mind is "Ladi Dadi" by Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh.
