Beatboxing

I first heard beatboxing probably on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air a few years back, when Will Smith was clinking his glasses and laying down some beats.

I was intrigued. I searched for 'mouth percussion' on the internet and found a ton of stuff about beatboxing. I was hooked, and began practicing quite a bit. My few favorite beatboxers are Roxorloops, Rahzel and Joel Turner.

I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

Wonderful, then leave.

Anyway, beatboxing is HARD. I use to always try it, but I would run out of breath really easily. I also have a friend who knows how to beatbox, I use to rap over it all time until he moved.

Good luck with getting really good at, I'm sure that you without a doubt will become better than me at it. :P

I know. I never said you insulted him, or rap/hip-hop for that matter. Don't put words in my mouth.

Why would you come into a thread about something that obviously dislike? Just to say you dislike it, then say it could be a moneymaker at the end so it wouldn't be regarded as spam? It just doesn't make much sense. That's why I said leave if you don't like it, or else there's not really much of a reason for you to be here.

I said that because I know for a fact beatboxing can get you decent money busking. Ask John over to my right...

That didn't answer my question, nor give a reason for why you would come into a thread about a genre of music you clearly dislike :? ....

ray0xide shud be banned from these forums for listening to poopy "music"

Wow, that's amazing. I can't find a good vid of it, but whenever I think about beatboxing, the first thing that comes to mind is "Ladi Dadi" by Slick Rick & Doug E. Fresh. Doug E beatboxes the whole song, it sounds sick.

122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength

97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

Yeah Doug E. Fresh was like, one of the pioneers of beatboxing. One of the first examples of beatboxing in a song that I heard were from a Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh song, I forget which one now.

An old friend of mine got into it a few years ago, and now he's doing 10 shows in the Edinburgh festival. He's 'battling' a pipe band drummer!

LOL My name isn't 'ray0xide', and it's not poopy music, IMO it's the best music, but I don't like rap.

It could've been a rant, seeing as the title was only 'Beatboxing'

Wait, huh? He didn't rant about beatboxing, it was clear from his post he enjoys it, nor was your post a rant. You just said you disliked rap, then put something at the end so it wouldn't be regarded as spam...

You're still avoiding answering the question I asked you, and you'e not making sense at this point.

Here's a video I shot a year ago. It features Roxorloops giving a mini concert. Don't mind the bad break dancing though.

Chavs are terrible at beatboxing anyway. Killa Kella thinks he is the man...meh.

You gotta be black or nerdy to be any good at it. ...hahahaha.

And Japisee, that video is great! Thanks!

First of all, I'm not avoiding it, by the title it could've been a rant, but it's not.

Secondly, please quote it RayOxide (O not 0)

Thirdly, I told the truth. Has anyone else said that yet? No? So I didn't SPAM -.-
