Generally speaking I'd say get bf2 and Special Forces.

 

 

 

2142 feels too much like a bf2 expansion than a whole new game.

right now, i would get 2142. The BF2 rank syatem is down (and no news of when, if ever, its going to be back up) so you wont be able to get any of teh gun unlocks untill its sorted, if ever.

Battlefield 2 is better IMO, if you're going to buy it, get the complete set, it comes with all the expansion packs and cuts like ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30 off the price if you'd brought them all seperately

I am still yet to play 2142, so I would go ahead with Battlefield 2, however as someone said the point system is down at the moment which is really annoying. Special forces is ok, but not that great. Get it though if you want the tier-2 weapon unlocks for BF2.

bf1942 DC mod is the all time best, then go for bf2 , 2142 is balls got like nerli max rank in a few months

I never really got into the Battlefields. 2 wasn't bad though.
