But anyway I think it'll always lead to two questions:

 

- What exactly is an addiction?

 

- (According of the definition) is that wrong?

 

I don't know enough about the science part of it to answer the first question, but I'll quote myself to answer the second one:

 

 

 

"Is that wrong?" To me it isn't. Yes, indeed addiction has a bad name and yes, is isn't healthy all the time. But why should we be healthy all the time? Why should we do the most responcible things in life? I think everyone needs room to make mistakes and to just live their lifes. You only have one and if you worry too much about what you're doing is the right thing to do, I think you should just relax and start doing something fun.

 

 

 

And even if you choose something "important" over the internet (like the examples below), so what?! It's their life! As long as you don't somehow screw up your future and you are still happy the way you life your life, it's ok to me

Did you know that every year 6 people die from playing video games? Just because they forget to eat or sleep!

 

 

 

That's just ... (Duuh)... How can you forget to eat while playing a Game?

 

Imagine someone fishing Lobsters for 4 days straight, and forgetting to eat irl -.-

 

 

 

But it's always easy to blame games tbh. The way they make it look, it's like it's very common, while it's rarer then we think.

 

Ok, I've played 15 hours in 1 day aswell (Runescape), but that happened 1 time in like 2.5 years. Everyone does it once when having fun (the conditions were good).

 

 

 

The same for when kids kill people, games get blamed ('Bully' for example).

 

This is really brown goo! I like playing a game like GTA, and shooting people, and driving over them (not always). It's fun, it's what the game is for.

 

I never had the urge to kill someone, shoot someone his head off, or drive over someone! The people who do this, had problems already.

 

 

 

Some are addicts, but it's rather rare.

You forget something. It's not about the majority, it's about the small minority how are so stupid to indeed behave like that. It's not about you and I doubt it's about anyone here at TIF (see my sig if you know what I mean).
