highlanders
I remember building whole cities with sims in swimsuits, or entire cities with sims all dressed the same. I made goth families, emo families, normal families, fat families.. I even imagined little stories between sims :-w Lol, yep waste of time. What's your type: Does it bore you totally or does it oddly fascinate you? 2480+ total

misterxman
At first it was fun but then it got tedious when there never was enough time. My guy had to get up at 4 am, eat breakfast clean/trash and be out by 5 and he'd come home 7pm, eat and sleep no tv no learning. Anytime he invited someone I had to deprive him of sleep so he'd have enough time to do anything with people, and the next day he'd be tired and barely managed to pay the bills (would have taken forever to expand house /buy stuff without cheats). Guest
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6171544.html?sid=6171544 The Sims movie planned EA bringing a film version of its popular lifestyle series to the big screen. By Emma Boyes, GameSpot UK Posted May 25, 2007 4:31 am PT The integration between games and movies has grown steadily over the last few years, and now one of the biggest gaming franchises is getting involved. 20th Century Fox will be making a film version of The Sims, reports Variety. The screenplay will be written by Brian Lynch, but it is not yet known who the director or other "talent" involved will be. The Sims movie will be a "live-action version," reports the newspaper, presumably meaning that it will feature real-life actors and actresses as opposed to animations. It is not known how the producers intend to adapt the life simulation series for movie goers. The feature film project has been set up with producer John Davis, with Steve Asbell overseeing the project for Fox and EA's Rod Humble managing the property for Electronic Arts. Brian Lynch wrote and directed the movie Big Helium Dog, a 20th Century Fox mockumentary comedy released in 1999. John Davis' production credits include Eragon, When a Stranger Calls, and Norbit. EA's Sims Studio head Rod Humble commented, "The Sims has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it's like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it. Given that that's an old story, you can imagine how easily that would translate to traditional storytelling." The first Sims game, which was created by Will Wright, was released on the PC in 2000, and PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube versions followed in 2003. It spawned a series of expansion packs for the original game, a sequel, The Sims 2, and a series of expansion packs for the sequel, too. The Sims 3 is currently in development, along with a Wii and Nintendo DS game called MySims. In total, the games in the series have sold more than 85 million copies worldwide. highlanders
i used to love building complex places and torturing my sims XD Haha I did that too! I would build a small room, put my sims in it, remove the door, and put a fireplace with some furniture around it. Then they'd burn to death  2480+ total
Striker6
I used to enjoy just building houses but that game has been done to death, as there are far too many expansions.

That's a way to see it, but I think the first reason why one would consider it done to death is that all the expansions packs, sequels, etc, are never going to bring back the excitement of first playing the game, they're just additions. But the expansions packs imo add a lot of interesting things, especially the newer ones, even though they're made mainly for money since they're outrageously expensive considering it's only a few additions each pack. 2480+ total

At the time they were probably expensive, but you can buy The Sims 8-in-1 Pack, which includes all the expansions, for about $30-$40.

Bubsa
It was brilliant and I had all the expansions for the original series. Then, one day, all of a sudden, I was just completely bored of it, saw no point, and threw it out of the window. Quite literally. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
