i havent really give much thought to it because when i'm selling/buying stuff i'm uselly out of the place quickly and don't uselly care what they say, but reflecting np does seem kind of rude

Uh mostly no.. maybe if they're doing you a favor by selling you something cheap but the compliment example is definately a no. When you tella girl she looks nice and she says thank you, you don't say no problem.. and if you do, that girl doesn't like you btw :P

TBH, you people that say it shouldn't be used are looking at it all wrong. When people say "NP" to someone else, they don't mean it to be hurtful or anything, they mean it to be the same thing as "TY." If you really would get offended by it, get off the internet.

Yeah, in most cases it's not ok. I mean in a trade you should both thank each other. I had one time where we both said ty and then after he saw me say that he said np lol. :wall:
