The Mystical 14th JaGeX Rule

Featured Replies

Ok we all know there are currently 13 rules from Jagex you must follow in the game, but none of them currently cover spam or begging. Some people say that rule 1 covers spam and begging but since they arent really offensive (just annoying), there should be a seperate rule for them.

Post your ideas but no spamming, flaming, or being stupid... 8-)

Actually rule 1 does cover spamming my friend got a black mark for it, but yes i do think that there should be a rule against spamming and if they did put it into an already existing rule like rule 1 just as they did with solicating boyfriends or girlfriends the same thing would probably happen where nobody would know its against the rules. So maybe making an entirely new rule would work better I support.

Rule 1 seems to be all encompasing when it comes to in game chatting, talking, or just about anything to do with typing something. As such, this is called an "Umbrella clause". This way, Jagex themselves don't 'spam' their players with rules. I mean really, when you started playing, did you read every rule completely? Every word? I'm think if you did, you didn't want to read anymore, you just wanted to play the game. If you skimmed, did you wanna skim 10 more rules?

I for one, find spamming and begging quite offensive. If someone keeps posting @@@@@@@@, or buying all coal, or just . and hitting enter 20 times in a row, I get offended by it. Sure annoying is another word, but doesn't quite do it justice. It is a rule, it is ALREADY under rule 1, leave it there. No support.

What is flooding the chat window?

Spamming/flooding the chat window is to fill the chat window with unnecessary text. This is also an offence and is disruptive and unfair on other players as it makes it more difficult for them to communicate and trade with each other.

Are you sick and tired of people telling you what to put in your sig? So am I. No, don't put this in your sig, you'll be doing what THEY want!

I don't mind people saying "buying all coal" all the time, as long as they're not macroing, they're just trying to sell stuff. But "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@" annoys the snout out of me, and lots of people too. And most of them don't know about spam reporting. This would clear the chat, support.

Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can

Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude?

Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you?

Camera guy: still laughing

Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down

Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]!

Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL!
