No there's not. Read the rules and the FAQ.

You will have to sign up again under a new name.

Don't worry about it, Master. We don't offer username changes to users, sorry. The only way to 'change' your username is to register a new account.

You need to get banned after 9 months of actively being on the forums for an "inappropriate username" and then beg for the mercy of the admins to allow for a changed name. :-w

But I don't see that happening in your case.

Now Eels, I wouldn't suppose this ever happened now?

(But, seriously, has it?)

I wanted to change my name but i then realised i couldn't so no you can not change your name once you have clicked submit so unless you want to make a whole new account then there shall be nothing else i can suggest.

Sorry.

Well you only have 8 posts so you could just make another account? Hmm you have to have more than one email account though.

I'm pretty sure there is an option in phpBB that would allow you to change your Username, however I assume the Administrators have it disabled for reasons I wouldn't know.

To change your user name in phpBB, when enabled, you just open your profile and edit it there, like you would any other part of your profile. When enabled, the area where your user name is displayed becomes a text field which you can change. When disabled, it simply appears as it does on Tip.It.

But, if username changing were enabled, how would you keep track of who's who, or the like. I fear that such an option being enabled would be easily abused; likewise, if the admins of tip openly declared they were accepting name changes, I could see the hassle for them, that would end up as a huge job.

We technically can change usernames - we haven't disabled it. There are some cases when we do change a user's name but it is very rare. Errdoth pretty much hit the nail on the head in regards to why we don't do it. Again, it is very easy to reregister with a new username as people have mentioned. Don't forget: you establish your reputation not with the number of posts you have but with post quality.
