[*:3uym2sa8]Secondly standing in front of the entrance to east and west gates no longer works as now the Torchers and Defilers can move diagonally, making this method redundant. It would seem the only option now is to have two of you block the gate entrance or to keep the doors shut.
 
 
 
[*:3uym2sa8]Thirdly it is good to know these strategies while playing pest control,
 
  • [*:3uym2sa8]Every Portal has a weakness;
     
    Purple Portal - Range Attacks
     
    Blue Portal - Mage Attacks
     
    Yellow Portal Stab/Slash Melee Attacks
     
    Red Portal - Crush Melee Attacks
     
     
     
    [*:3uym2sa8]It is advisable to bring runes for casting Curse or Vulnerability on a portal to weaken its defence by 5%, 10% respectively. This makes the portal much easier to defeat.
     
     
     
    [*:3uym2sa8]If training melee bring more than one weapon. Bring a weapon with a good slash/stab attack and a weapon with a good crush attack. Melee is usually the most used combat type at pest control and therefore you can maximise your chances of achieving zeal as you will be able to hit well on both melee portals.
     
     
     
    [*:3uym2sa8]Wear armour with a prayer bonus such as Initiate or Proselyte. This will allow you to use your prayers for longer whilst providing enough protection from the monsters.

The HP on a lot of the PC monsters (in the Bestiary) is also way off... all the monster examine images with the correct HP's of them are in my signature...

i can edit the picture if i know the font name :)

 

Our map font is Cheboygan. :D

 

 

 

However, I think that it might be better to leave the monster names and levels off the picture, since they are not shown with dots anyway (too many of them). Perhaps just show the portal weaknesses?

 

 

 

I'm afraid I haven't played PC since people started posting about these weaknesses, so I don't know if/how that has been verified.

I think we should leave the monster levels on as they are relevant to the game and they appear on every other map.

 

Also im sure pretty much anyone in Affliction can verify portal weaknesses. Darkblade is an Affliction member, i'm sure you could ask him for verification.
