July 1, 200719 yr Is it true that wearing a ring of wealth decreases chances of getting a dragon chain? My friend told me that because runes are considered a rare drop it is not advisable to wear one. Can anyone confirm this?
July 1, 200719 yr You know, you could just think about it logically.. No, it's clearly not true that a ring which increases the chances of a rare drop would.. decrease the chance of a rare drop..
July 1, 200719 yr they chain is not one of its rare drops, therefore, the ring should technically decrease it, but it doesnt really, it doesnt matter whether or not you use it. Me and my partner dont use it, we have over 140 kills with no chain, yet we know some1 who uses it, they have over 200 kills and no chain. The difference is not noticable, but not wearing it clears a spot of a dif ring, like a berserker or something. I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(

July 1, 200719 yr i understood that rareghoul, but if you get more rare drops, it will decrease the chance of an un-rare one....make sense? but anyway, in the case of the chain, its not noticable, so if you want to wear a berserker, or perhaps even a ring of life (not recommended) then you can I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(
July 1, 200719 yr The d chain is incredibly hard to get with or without a ring of weath. So just stop complaining and deal with it. There is no way you will get a d chain without like 500 kills... -.-
July 1, 200719 yr 500 kills, lol, its 1 in every 100 is the average, me and my friend are on about 250, hes got 2, but one was with a dif teamate. its not 1 per 500, that wouldnt be profitable.....lol I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(

July 1, 200719 yr me and my partner have had 1 emerald, no other gems, 2 chains.... wierd... we dont use a ring of wealth I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(
July 1, 200719 yr me and my partner have had 1 emerald, no other gems, 2 chains.... wierd... we dont use a ring of wealth then you have some really weird luck, ask most people and they'll say gems aren't as rare as chains. and besides, how many kills have you had? most likely above 200 or you're really lucky.
July 1, 200719 yr 250 kills, yet we have had no d helm, no d 2h, no d 1/2 shield, no kq head, theres lots of drops we havent got yet, they may not be as good, but they are a LOT rarer than a d chain edit: just remembered this, another one of its rarer drops is iron arrows, i think only around 100, we've got one of those too, only one so far. Its a terrible drop, but its still rarer than a chain I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(

There is no way you will get a d chain without like 500 kills... -.- Got one on my 12th kill. My partner got one on the 2nd kill, and again on the 6th. (different partner.) Neither of us wearing RoW. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.

July 1, 200719 yr the d chain is expesive, cuz for me and my partner to do 100 trips (the average per d chain drop) it costs us about 2mil each for supplies....so we spend 4 mil hoping that we will get a chain in the next 100 trips... 100 kills isnt bad to get a drop, but when each kill costs about 40k, it adds up.... not to mention, veracs is 4mil..... EDIT: my partner looked at a drop log with 1800 kills, and built a program for the fun of it, with most of the drops calculated in with their average drop rate. The d chain is no where near a rare drop, when he logs on, i will ask him what the rare ones are :) I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(

July 1, 200719 yr its not common, but its not rare enough for a ring of wealth to have an actualy effect on it.... I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(
July 1, 200719 yr A while ago I heard that the ring of wealth only gives you higher gp drops not better item drops, can anyone confirm or deny this? On topic, I think that the ring of wealth gives you a higher chance of rare drops, including obviously the dragon chain, but I can't be sure. Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2hBarrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail
July 1, 200719 yr as I said before, yes the ring of wealth gives you a higher chance of receiving a rare drop, the d chain however, is not rare enough of a drop for the ring of wealth to effect it. There are loads of different drops that are a lot rarer than a chain, and those will be effected, but not the chain I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(
July 1, 200719 yr Exactly where is your proof of that? Where does it state the "rarity" limit for the RoW to have effect?
July 1, 200719 yr i have no proof, except if you look at just about any kq log, whether thye use the ring or not, chains average to about 1 per 100 kills.... so if it doesnt change anything, why bother with the ring I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(
July 1, 200719 yr I don't have any proof or experience with ring of wealth liking me, but I don't understand why people think the Ring of Wealth has no effect. Jagex clearly states that the Ring of Wealth increases the chance of getting a rare drop; saying a dragon chain isn't a rare drop is ridiculous. The only way to conclusively prove if there's any difference is to look at at least 10,000 kills, with and without a ring of wealth, in order to see if there's a difference. It may be a small difference, sure. But is the +4 strength bonus of a berserker ring really that big? Are you going to see a noticeable difference in how fast the Queen is killed or how much food you use? Also, consider the loss if you die. A Berserker ring is a lot more than a ring of wealth. It's all down to personal opinion, but I think that in cases like that, I'd use the ring of wealth. July 1, 200719 yr when people wear the ring of wealth they look at every drop and they already have it in their mind that they have a better chance than everyone else, and when they get nothing they never wear it again. then they dont wear ring of wealth, so they dont concentrate on the drops expecting to get something everytime, and when they finally get something it seems like it was fastest without it. 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin
