2getherteam
The exact requirments needed for runescape? My runescape window has not worked since July 5th. I have uninstalled/reinstalled java, downloaded all updates for window, uninstalled/reinstalled IE, tryed playing under different applets, tryed firefox, ran Spybot search and destroy, deleted cookies, cleared temporary files, lower my custom level....and done everything on the Runescape Technical Support list to try to get my game to work and it still wont work. I just dont understand how I was enjoying the game up until July 4th. i have no idea what the hell could have happened, can anyone out there please, please, please help me? Just imagine this happened to you and you couldnt play, please, I beg of all of you out there in tip.it with your Knowledge please one of you must be able to help me....God I sound so desperate, and im not....Im just frustrated because how the hell does a game just stop working from one day to another? Ive managed though, playing Counterstrike....but that can only last for so long.... *sigh* I know this may not even be the forum for it, but I needed all eyes to view this.....so that perhaps maybe someone can truly, finally help. Oh my God you still play Runescape?! .....so do I....

Tim
well goto tech and computers forum, we have 500+ members, one of them are bound to see it and the requirments are usually in one of the Runescape mainpage links. OR your computer might not have enough RAM to support runescape, try low detail first then high. if all else fails try the local (ish) gaming/internet cafe'. Tim
458,288 kb (458 Mb) of RAM doesnt sound like the req for high detail. i think you should try low detail first unless you have, if so like the tree said to the lumberjack "im stumped" :? hardwick246
I would just recommend going to the RSOF's Tech Support section and posting a thread. Try and put as much information into your post as possible. It could possibly be the cause of a corrupt recent update? Need help or advise? Have a question? Just PM me through Runescape or Tip.it. :)
lorddayu
I would try older versions of java, maybe the newer versions arent compatible with your computer. If you need help finding old versions, pm me

das1330
you said a grey box? what firewall or antivirus software do you use, and what browser? I think I know what it might be. Its not hardware though, if you can play counterstrike, runescape will run just fine.
m4tty
you can run rs on a pentium 2 200mhz with 64mb or so ram just fine, you dont even need close to a new pc, even an ancient pc can run it. cs is much more demanding then rs... well any 3d-game which isnt an internet download made after 1995 is basically. for rs the 450mb or w/e is way more than enough. anyway id try firefox browser, and if that doesnt work if you know how id try reformatting the hard drive. internet explorer is crap. once i had this problem before and idk how i fixed it. zlcoolboy
I sometimes have a problem with it stoping at the message "loading updated data" or something like that and i just clear all the private files in firefox (tools>clear private data) Then i restart firefox and choose the other detail setting and then when that setting has run for a bit i press back on firefox and go to my detail level i like. Most of the time that works for me but you said that you already tried to remove your catch, cookies, etc [EDIT] I run on 530MHz, 4mb graphics card set (they are almost 11 years old), 256mb ram, 54mb /s wireless card, 80gb hard drive, And the the computer is 7 years old. It works a bit laggy because of the chip set but other then that it runs well. P2p: 135 F2p: 124 as of July 29, 09.P2p: 137 F2p: 126 as of September 25, 11. lobsta
Format the hard drive and re-install Windows. That usually fixes any problems that I can't for the life of me work out how to fix
