July 15, 200719 yr To answer your question, yes, you can drop the lower level ones. I suggest getting 10+ rune defenders before dropping the others though. If you lose your highest level one, then you begin again at the next highest levle defender you have.. if it happens that you have no defenders, then that means you start collecting them from the beginning again.
