I could just go to the Mortton general store and buy loads of vials then fill them up. Is that really so hard? and why are they sold in thousands? Is farming/sorceress's garden the only reliable source of herbs? and is picking herbs from the summer/winter gardens the fastest experience? meol Posted July 16, 2007 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Water-filled vials are expensive becuase they aren't that easy to get in the thousends (which you'd need for heavy herblore training) and some people can simply afford not having to fill the empty ones by themselves, and pay more for them. Most people also farm herbs, and most of them come from killing monsters (I've heard chaos druids are the best herb droppers by far). I hate farming so much... but I'll need it to finish the Fairy Quest(I just started it for the rings) eventually, and I need to level attack a bit. I was really wondering which potion to make/easiest secondary to get... Also do the druids attack with magic or do they just do curses? Master_Smither Posted July 16, 2007 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Well many people by unids above ranner for 2k each and identify and make pots and such other people buy ranner weeds 7k each and pcik their own snapegrass and make p pots and sell 7k each your only out the price of those vials. Thats what most people do. You might end up with thousands of guams... when you buy un - id's make sure theres alot of diffrent stacks of them. make the seller note the herbs. then if he shows you 2-8 stacks then those will be all diffrent kinds of herbs if you can id them. dont wear rune armor when you fight druids...they attack with mage. it wont hurt you much anyways, but they do weaken. under edgeville in the wilderness dungeon is the best place to get herbs, just bring 3 items if your scared of getting pked (which wont happen if you run) a half hour under edgeville can pay off with atleast 100k worth of herbs if your picking up the right kind and dont get off task. I first make a round of herb farming. I then do a slayer assignment or part of it. I do another part of herb farming, or if my slayer task is done I teleport to ardougne. Check the general store for water filled vials. Bank them, go to shilo. Check the general store there for waterfilled vials. Bank them. Ask for a new slayer assignment. Secondaries I buy or collect a bit in between when I get bored with slayer. So far I managed to get 73 herblore but currently it is going a bit slow. The nice thing of slayer tasks is of course that slayer monsters usually drop high level herb seeds. I'm mostly out of them at the moment except toadflax seeds, but they are quite ok for leveling since toad legs are quite easy to get yourself.
