i don't really like slow skills like fishing, or farming.

 

which is why i read Tip.It while doing those things.

 

most skills aren't very fun to me.

 

Runecrafting is nice if people attempt to PK you once in awhile, it helps to break the monotony.

 

Combat is nice, especially in castle wars.

 

Fishing, farming, cooking, fletching, and woodcutting are nice because i can read the forums while doing it.

 

 

 

Even if it's not fun, i find a way to make it fun, like training with a friend.

 

But the day i no longer am able to have fun, will be the day that i am outta here.

Well I'm just thinking...why the hell did you make this thread? To teach us all to have fun instead of playing?

 

 

 

We all know that playing runescape is supposed to be fun, and it is, and thats why we play it. Why else do you think we get 99 stats? Seriously, what the hell were you thinking when you made this thread and started telling us how to have fun? and that we shouldn't play runescape (aka achieve the goal of the game)? Do me a favor and just shut up =;

There are plenty of other threads you can read instead, and I'm not telling people how to have fun or to have fun, I just felt like posting this because it's really starting to tick me off how many people are just so serious about this game.

First off, this topic should be made into a sticky. I 100% agree with the idea that you should play the game you want to play and not be judged upon it. The idea of the game is to have fun, and not stress yourself on getting the goal you intended. I have always had this state of mind, but never actually applied it. I have a feeling this is the way i'll start playing.

 

 

 

Second, and this is directed towards Malo, if you don't agree with a topic... simply don't post. If you want to have a discussion on why you don't agree, fine, but please... a bit more civilized?

 

 

 

If anyone wants to have a discussion with me on what they consider fun, and laid back ways of training... message me! Hopefully we'll come together and share ideas.

I do the same as you, try to make a boring skill fun.

 

 

 

But a i've been thinking this for awhile, why the hell do we play a game that we don't think is fun? Are "we" the players supposed to make skills fun? In reality, most of the skills in RuneScape are boring as hell. Why do we still play if we know this for a fact?

after all the time spent on this game, i think we have made ourselves numb to most of the boring aspects. or maybe, if we didn't play we would have more free time than we know what to do with.

 

or maybe it's just the prize at the end of the long haul that keeps us going.

 

for me, it's my friends. and the prize.

 

 

 

but there are a few truly fun things i love about this game.

 

like castle wars.

People always ask me why I'm playing Castle Wars so much. Cause its fun!!!!! And they are like "Lol noob, Castle wars sucks, raise some skills dood!" I mean, I would rather play Castle wars then burn maples for 25 hours each day. These days, it seems everyone is going for a skill cape.
