wild_goat_14
Odd that this would come up. I recently tried going for a very thieving level.. very high.. anyway I quit it because when I was playing it felt more like work, and if you play to work what's the point? I honestly think Thieving is one of the best skills out there, but each to his own. Anyways, I still have fun while I skill, I find it fun to set a goal and go for it. I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete. So, what is 1.111... equal to?10/9. Please don't continue.
DeadPolkaDots1
I'm thinking of taking another break from RS. I feel oblighed to train gruelling skills now a days when I log on. I do do things I find fun (Slayer)but after doing so much I feel *bad* about neglecting other skills with pathetic levels. It just doesn't have the same appeal any more. :| Quit RS to play real games. :P Bye TIF, miss you.
blakdragon39
I would love to get a 99 :D. Why haven't I even bothered getting a 90+ skill? Cause it really wouldn't be fun... I do what I feel like doing, when I feel like doing it on Runescape :P. Not everyone has lost the fun in the game. However I must agree, the first day I played, and the first days I got members were much better :(. So much to explore and learn... I miss it :( lol. book_of_metal
i like doing alot of things, like fletching (as you can see) but as soon as i get good the fun goes away from that skill so i have to move onto another Check out my 50M+ Blog

Rebdragon
Fun = Ice bursting in cw with 5 friends and getting called a noob as you kill 10 kids at a time  No no, Ice Barraging with a group of people you've never met in your life, and getting called a noob as you kill 40 kids at a time. Now that's fun. Got boring after a while, but the 94 Magic thing kept me in the game for the last few months :) . That, and DK's, but obviously, like everything, it gets boring after a while #-o . Everyone likes everything in the beginning. Heck, I actually loved skilling for my first few months of playing. Different parts of the game slowly get boring at different rates for everyone (decently fast for myself), and thus everyone has different periods of time before they decide to quit, but it happens to everyone eventually :| . Which is as it seems alot of people around these boards are going through right now, what im gonna call, "the final boredom" phase, as at least it seems to me we are losing a good bit of people around these boards. Or maybe its just people I know for a change :| But yes with the boredom that finally sets in or the arrival of or the curiosity of trying something else out. Whether it be, turning your real life around, or just finding another game to play, either way everyone will reach that point. Which brings me to my point of I wont be around here as much myself either. malo2
Well I'm just thinking...why the hell did you make this thread? To teach us all to have fun instead of playing? We all know that playing runescape is supposed to be fun, and it is, and thats why we play it. Why else do you think we get 99 stats? Seriously, what the hell were you thinking when you made this thread and started telling us how to have fun? and that we shouldn't play runescape (aka achieve the goal of the game)? Do me a favor and just shut up =; For the first time in a while, I feel somewhat offended. Lastfm
meb
Well part of the fun is achievign the level. I didn't enjoy my Agility training, but it's fun to know that there are only 4219 players with more Agility xp than me :) . The same goes for RC'ing. I don't really enjoy it, but with the cash I can buy stuff I will enjoy. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. Goobore
If it isn't fun anymore, why do you keep playing :|. Well, that's the problem... Not all of us will keep on playing. Players that get bored with endless skill grinding and quit only hurt the ability of Jagex to further develop the game. Players will stay if there is enough entertaining content and/or satisfaction for them...

You only notice the immature ones, because when someone comes up and steals the monster you're killing, you say "You know 8 year olds aren't allowed to play runescape, right?", and they say "im 14 n00b". That gives you the impression that all 14 year olds are immature, and act like they're 8.

PastyGangsta
He's right though, most 14 year olds that play xbox live are idiots, they take it WAY too seriously. The only problem is I'm pretty poor. Just because I dont have fun making that 9mil for full guthans, doesn't mean I dont get a sense of achievement, or dont have fun with it afterwards.
