July 25, 200718 yr I believe you mean, custodial engineer. I never got into the whole, be cool and disrespect the staff at school. I just thought that was lame. I was raised to respect everyone unless they give me a reason not to, and they didn't. It really has
July 25, 200718 yr At my school, the janitor was probably one of the coolest people i have met in my time at school. He ran a small tuck shop and as we kept on his good side and respected him, he pretty much let us take some stuff for nothing. Probably one of the bravest people i have met as well, one of the techinical rooms at our school caught fire due to a malfunction in a machine. The whole school was evacuated but me and my friends passed the janitor heading into the school with a fire extinguisher before the fire brigade arrived, unfortunatly the extinguisher wasn't powerful enough so they had to use one of the power hoses on the fire engine but still...back into a burning building =D> (probably not the best example to set to a school full of impressionable teens, but brave nonetheless). Also, working in a supermarket has opened my eyes about respect and equality. As the store is near a kinda upmarket area, there are loads of people who give us a hard time when they can't find anything and just kinda, make it known, that they think they are better than us as they drive a flashy car/have a big house etc. What makes it worse is when you get a normal person in and if they can't find something or need help, they are always polite and don't impose that they are better than you. In the end i think it boils down to money, some people think as they are rich, they can look down on people who don't have as much money, things like that. It isn't in the castle, It isn't in the mist, It's a calling of the waters, As they break to show, The new Black Death, With reactors aglow, Do you think your security, Can keep you in purity, You will not shake us off above or belowScottish frictionScottish fiction
July 27, 200718 yr I'm surprised at seeing how many people say this is a childish and idiotic thing. Wonder how many times they've ever done it themselves or laughed with a friend when he did it. Hypocrites -.- Never, because I was raised to have respect for people from all walks of life. Unless of course they were completely rude and deserved it. Yep, me too. I'm still in jr high...Most of the kids in my grade make fun of each other as much as they do the faculty (which is a lot)...It's sad, really... Resident Tip.it Cow. :^_^:[blog] [twitter]
July 28, 200718 yr During lunch we had a new janitor a lot of people gave a hard time, but I felt pretty good that the guys I sat with at my table would always clean up and talk to him. By the end of the year everyone at the table became pretty friendly with him. Most janitors have a lot of nonsense from kids they have to deal with but I'm glad we gave him actual kid interaction that he enjoyed.
July 28, 200718 yr I treat the people at my school with respect and I think it its downright dumb and pathetic on how people treat the school staff. And the cavemen wondered how to make fire...Im in the .00001% that finds Firemaking fun. If you find it fun add this to your siggy.
