New "Smashing Pumpkins" Album

Well Zeitgeist was released exactly 2 weeks ago. I got the album, and I have to say I'm impressed. So is America as the thing debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. But what do you think? Do you think they should be using the same name? After all Iha and D'arcy aren't there. Do you think Billy Corgan is an attention [bleep]? I want to know what you all think. Long live the Pumpkins!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

P.S.- The best song would be 7 Shades of Black, in my opinion.

It's an alright album, there are some good songs and some very mediocre. Tarantula has been topping my most played list recently, and i'm a Pumpkins fan so it's a nice addition to my collection, but it's nothing outstanding.

I have Adore and Siamese Dream cds and was pondering if I should get the new one. I saw it at Target in the "limited Target only edition". I haven't gotten it yet, but I love the two singles they've released so far. I will probably get it eventually...I do have a $25 gift card to Target.

huge smashing pumpkins fan as well love their songs (disarm is one of my favorite songs ever), but this CD is mediocre. I wasn't expecting much to tell you the truth. What is everyone's fav songs on the CD (and ever if you want to post that too)???

I can honestly say (I'll probably get shot) that I'm not a big fan of SP. I just heard Tarantula a few months ago, and figured hey, this might be good. The best songs off the album are 7 Shades of Black and Come On Let's Go.

Another bump by me (sorry guys) just have to, as I stumbled across this. I think I will get the album, when I was about 13, I used to listen to alot of RnB and rap, then one of my mates introduced me to the goodness that is Smashing Pumpkins. They are the reason why I listen to good music, and they'll always be special to me.

 

 

 

What I don't like is the fact he reformed SP, but without two key members. I mean, Corgan and Chamberlin went off and did Zwan, then it disbanded. Then with the SAME two dudes, reformed SP, what the hell.

My fav SP song? Hmmm, tough choice, I would probably say Aeroplane Flies High, very good song. Not on any of their studio albums though, I got it off a special b-side album.
