Hello, and welcome to my thread The Offspring Then and Now.

In case you don't know, The Offspring, is a popular American band from Orange County, California which formed in 1984. The band currently consists of Dexter Holland (lead vocals, guitar), Noodles (guitar, backing vocals), Greg K. (bass, backing vocals), and Atom Willard (drums).

From 1989, they have come up with seven great albums, and one untitled 8th album due to be released in late Augest.

Here are their ablums and their release dates:

1989-The Offspring which was called their deubt album and not actually released until 1995.

1992-Ignition

1994-Smash which is the most successful Offspring album to date.

1997-Ixnay on the Hombre

1998-Americana which is the second most successful album.

2000-Conspiracy of One (One of my most favourite albums)

2003-Splinter

2003-Club Me Not really an album, but it contained three songs.

2004-Baghdad Not an album but had three songs. The song Baghdad was used in Rock Aginst Bush Vol. One

2005-Punk O Rama 10 Only had one song called Mission From God

2007-Untitled 8th album This is the runner up of Splinter.

Date Unknown-Want You Bad Only had two songs, All I Want (Live), and Autonomy.

Date Unknown-Oi! Sound Of The UK had only one song called Nightlife

Yea, back in the day when I first heard them, I said to myself "What is this...?" But now they're my number one favourite band.

Been one of my favourite bands for the last few years... I'd really like to see them live.

Hit That, The Kids Aren't Alright, Pretty Fly, Original Prankster and Why Don't You Get A Job are my favourites :)

Looking forward to their next album too.

I've never been a huge fan of the Offspring but I've heard plenty of them. When I was younger I use to have a friend who was obsessed with the band so I've probably heard all of there songs about 100 times each (I still couldn't name any of them though). They are a decent band but not so much my thing.

Also saw them live at Warped like 2 years ago, I wasn't paying close attention to it though.

I got into em when Ignition was released. They definitely have a distinctive sound, but that also means all they're stuff pretty much sounds the same. I lost interest with them around Americana/Conspiracy of One. Ignition is definitely their best, Ixnay and Americana (excluding horrible Pretty Fly song) are pretty good. I'd have to say best songs are Session, LAPD, and All I want.

I started out listening to these guys when I got their Greatest hits cd. I liked it a lot so I got another one of their cds,Splinter. I REALLY didn't like most of the songs on Splinter, so I don't know if I'm gonna get their new cd. I may have to hear a few songs on it first.
