Lobby4
Yes another barrows post from your truly. #-o First, can I go face-to-face without any prayer using slayer dart and 70 mage against Verac, Guthan, and Torag? (I'll have 80 defence and be wearing d skirt, granite plate, and Farseer helm) Then, could I range Ahrim in black d'hide top+chaps and a decent bow? And how to handle Karil? How much food would I be looking at using? I'd like to hear your comments/suggestions too. Thanks! :D
nerdattack16
#1 I pray on Dharok and Karil, and whatever leftover points I have I use on Guthan. I rarely eat on him. I don't pray on the other three, and I eat generally 3-5 monkfish - bear in mind I've got 64 mage, 70 defense, and rune plate+legs. #2 Since Ahrim has ZERO range defense, then you can easily range him, especially since you've got 70+ range. The bows preferred: magic shortbow, or Karil's crossbow. I'd suggest mithril or higher ammunition. #3 You've got 80 attack and strength, right? Melee Karil. I can easily melee him potted to 86 attack. If you seem to not be hitting enough, bring a (super) attack potion. Super isn't needed, unless you make them and have a surplus, or like to buy them. :P You should probably pray on Karil, until you get higher defense and better armor, and get more comfortable with Barrows. Oh, and use DDS specials, and then a whip on him. I usually get decent specs and get him poisoned. #4 I eat 7-10 monkfish on: 70 defense 64 magic 62 range 51 prayer Rune plate, legs, berserker, glory, unholy book, God cape, rune boots, air wave. I also never drink a prayer potion unless I get a Karil tunnel, or I run out of food somehow. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
mchainmail
you'll do fine on that strategy. However, I like to use the rest of my prayer on ahrim instead of a melee brother.

This giving me a bonus of 250+ on defense though. But I used my left over prayer points on him. In the tunnel he rarely hits me before I kill him, using proper defense ofcourse. If you are not using prayer on karil, try wearing max ranged defense. Crystal shield or granite shield are great against ranged! You were also wearing a granite plate? Great! The melee brothers shouldn't be a problem, nor Ahrim. Use either Karil X bow or magic short with addy/rune arrows on him. Or you may take quite a few hits, as the fight continues. Good luck. sweety6556
you can safely mage Guthan, Verac and Torag without prayer. Guthan will hit a 20 or so every once in a while, so don't look away from the screen. i personally mage karil, and surprisingly it isn't that hard despite his high mage defence bonus. the amount of food you're gonna use will vary depending on how hard you get hit by the one's you aren't praying on. you're typically looking at using 8-15 monks per trip. that's how many i typically use. Guest Kickpointy
This is how I do it, I use no p pots and only like 10 monkfish. 1. Pray on Dharok. 2. Use rest of Prayer on Karil. 3. Use any leftover Prayer on Ahrim (usually none) 4. Don't Pray on Verac (he hits through prayer anyway) 5. Don't Pray on Torag. 6. Don't pray on Guthan. Do what is above and bring: dds, whip, magic short\rune arrows, karils top or blk d body, farseers helm or helm of netzinot, verac brassard and skirt (prayer bonus), glory, runes for slayer dart, rune defender, rune\addy boots, glory, 2 sharks, 1ppot, super att, str pot, house tab, and rest of inventory lobs@@@!@!@ lobs at that level def using lobs will sufice. if not then just use the emergency sharks if you run out. No, the brothers have incredible range defense compared to their mage def.

nerdattack16
then can I somehow safespot the melee brothers? or do i have to go toe-to-toe? Even at 69 defence, you could no-pray Torag, Verac, and Guthan, possibly Ahrim. I'd suggest getting 70 defence and Barrows armor though; the higher the defence the better! Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
Lobby4
With this set-up I'll have a -43 mage bonus and level 70 mage. Will I hit enough? Also, is there a somewhat fast way to get back to Canifis after opening the chest without having done Desert Treasure?
Berrakus
then can I somehow safespot the melee brothers? or do i have to go toe-to-toe? The only way to safespot them is to spawn them in a tunnel. You can't safespot them in their crypt.
