  1. I dont see why people arnt getting all hyped up about the +20 mage bonus :P mages FINALLY get something alright, instead of useless and/or overpriced. Come to think of it, its competing for the overpriced category, but i think its worth it to finally get some decent defence and maybe counter that annoying dragonhide.
  2. Yeah, armour is useless, ive been hit a 0 but only ever when im praying. Most of the time this happens. [hide=Image][/hide] Thats from one "cluster bomb" attack, and it didnt miss anyone. And since its mage based, and theyre all wearing d hide, and a lot of them are praying....yeah, armour is kinda rubbish. And if he's attacking one person. [hide=Image][/hide] He normally does that to people he doesnt like. Since he's so strong, the tactics are actually pretty simple. 1. Shoot at him with ruby (e) (getting spec sometimes makes him focus on you, but thats sovled by step 2) 2. When he focuses on you, eat like mad and run out the room/underneath him. That seems to do the trick. If you want to use the images to scare people, feel free :D Also: yeah, its spelled accumulator :P The dark soul thing has 25hp, and its vital that you kill it straight away And, um, i cant really say much else, i killed it in a massive team :P only drop i got was 70 raw sharks but hey, I'm proud of that :D
  3. It does specifically say "dont bring any armour or weapon!", so dont expect any pity on me :P I do feel sorry for your loss anyway, actually. Just pay attention to what people say next time  I must say i loved this quest, it was great fun, and a fantastic reward!
  4. *looks up* Wow, thats exactly what i said... Sorry, i dont know much about where to post stuff etc :S it didnt seem to fit anywhere else, and i completely missed the screenshot sticky, so thanks for quoting it here :) odie edit: No prob :P
  5. Im guessing its going to be about stopping real world trading. So - Eating will increase the impressiveness Good weapons and armour on the opponent will increase the impressiveness Killing someone who doesnt attack/stops attacking will pretty much drop the impressiveness to 0 Killing someone very quickly with dds spec wont count for much Basically, if the opponent shows any signs of making the fight easier for you, then your drop wont be nearly as good :P
  6. Well, runescape has a new top dog. This baby can hit high with all three corners of the combat triangle and also through prayer. It takes a team of 30+ player 5-10+ mins to take him down, he has 2000hp, he can one hit KO anyone (although they have to be very unlucky is they are 70+hp), and he can hit at least 65 in one blow! I thought i'd take and post a few screenshots to show this guy in action... [hide=Action]Just a quick screenshot of him. Someone hit 100 with ruby bolts :D [/hide] [hide=Take down]The beast during his death animation. Didnt get a screenshot for the loot :( [/hide] [hide=Ouchie]Someone getting hit 4 times at once by the beast. This is where the 1 hit KO danger lies, you can see that theres a possible 4 24's there! [/hide] [hide=Huge ouchie]This gives you an idea of the carnage this guy can cause. Belive it or not, this was all from 1, just one attack! (He has an attack that lands, does area of effect damage, then splits up into 5, and each of those five splits fly a little way and do damage, also area of effect. I think the max is 30 for each hit) [/hide] [hide=Mega ouchie]This is what happens if he attacks just 1 person. OW. I was KO'd like this, but it was only a 44 he hit me for. (I didnt lose anything, i was wearing the outfit you see in the next for screenshots) [/hide] [hide=Tenderise!]Beating up the corporal beast with a meat tenderiser. You cant get much more fun than that. (died in this outfit, lost....nothing! :D) [/hide] [hide=General information]This is just showing you his level, and his massively long life bar #-o [/hide] Drops. To my eternal shame, i only rememberd to screenshot 2 drops. So here they are. [hide=Drop 1 (obtained by someone else)] [/hide] [hide=Drop 2 (obtained by meeeee!)]My only drop out of like 30+ kills [/hide] I also attempted to keep a small log. Didnt go very well, i always forget to note the drop down. here it is. 13 crimson charms, 30 tuna potato 13 green charms, 35 addy bar 13 blue charms, 1 diamond 2 rubys 3 emeralds 2 sapphires 13 gold charms, 120 desert goat horn 13 crimson charms, 2000 cannonballs 13 crimson charms, 100 green d hide 13 gold charms, mystic air staff 13 blue charms, 2000 c ball I have also seen someone get a bracelet of regeneration, he was quite happy :D Thanks for reading :) Comments appreciated, i dont post screenshots much so sorry if tags are wrong, and more aplogies for the bad resolution. Ill get better with practice :P
  7. Well yes, they're inefficient, but i take the iew that "they're charms. They'll give me exp". In my opinion, charms are so annoying to get that you may as well use all the ones you get.
  8. I just get tired of seeing tons of cooking/fletching capes, as they seem like an easy way to get a 99. Being a fan of runecrafting, slayer, summoning and farming, i feel kiiiinda cheated  Fact of the matter is that some capes will get you more respect than others, especially capes in skills that are hard to train and require more dedication than simply "cook x". I wouldnt look down on a hunter cape - its fast, but its much tougher than cooking and cant be bought. Also, in my opinion 69 smithing > 99 cooking, ergo quest cape > cooking cape :D
  9. Its good, but i noticed one thing - you can unnote mith ores much, much cheaper than 1.6k per 20. Right click ordan - "trade" Sell 10 mith ore, sell 10 mith ore again Buy 50 mith ore (will fill invent) Costs around 5gp per more, i think, so about 100gp for 20 100gp or 1.6k. And selling to the store is faster as well. :D
  10. Dagganoths under the lighhouse arnt any good for charms :S You get a few gold and crim, but not many
  11. I think pk-ing worlds are gonna be fun personally, and very useful for me. But i dont plan to pk. Think how empty all the crowded spots on normal worlds are gonna be... Admittedly since i runecraft and slay, it wont be very useful for me, but i imagine all the miners and woodcutters out there will be happy \ And i cant wait to see pots rise, thank you for giving the idea of making super str in advance... P.S. What do you think of my sig? Home-grown :D
  12. I must say i disagree - when im fighting karil mage seems to be much more effective. I miss a lot with whip/dds. It does seem odd, maging the ranger, but hey, it works.
  13. I havnt been recently, so for all i know this has been fixed, but cant you safespot the brothers in the tunnels at the corner rooms? You know how you always end up in a corner room when you enter the tunnels? Basically in each corner room theres a space for the ladder that leads down from the tombs. You can trap a brother behind the ladder and kill him easily (if he's one of the melee 4). The interesting thingis that this works even if there isnt a ladder visible.. You can trap a brother on the space where a ladder should be! You can find out where the "invisible ladder" is by looking for the square in each corner room that you cant walk on (its somewhere in the middle). So you can just force spawn the brother by opening/closing doors until you get him in the room you want, leg it behind the invisible ladder and slayer dart him to death! This means that, if you have a decent prayer level, you never need to use a pot even if dharok is in the tunnels. (If karil is there your in for a tough time, but he's possible w/o prayer. I have some pictures somwhere showing this, ill put them up. Also, like everyone else says, do karil second. Ive only ever been KO'd by 2 brothers (one due to connection, one due to surprise 20). Dharok (who hasn't been ko'd by him? I got a free guth spear and helm of a guy who died to dharok) and karil (he never hit higher than 16 before this moment, i was KO'd by a 20. Goodbye veracs helm...). And a decent house....i mean, free prayer recharge, kharyll portal, bake in the kitchen to restore hp, whats not to like? You can practically cut trip time and costs in half, since you arnt using prayer pots. Overall, 5/10. You actually require prayer pots (something i did away with a long time ago), neglect easy safespots, and reccomend verac second. (I personally do him third, because i have great defence against ahrims attacks, but always, always do karil second. He's deadly.)
  14. Im not a paticularly experienced FoG player, but out of the 20 or so games i have played i reckon i've won at least 16. It really didnt take me long to hit upod an eficient tactic. The big thing here is 52 summoning for the terrorbird and a decent agility level - once you have that you have near infinite cheap, free energy. This means my pack normally contains... Ahrims Torags Black D hide Tireless run scroll AT LEAST 5 OTHER TERRORBIRD POUCHES After a bit of practice you can restore energy while running quite easily, even eith the weight of 3 armour sets. The catch to this is that you cant use the houses. But... Heres where the other pouches come in. You dismiss the terrorbird (doesnt seem to work in center :S) which can be quite difficult, but practice makes perfect. Run into the house, do whatever you want (teleport or wait), leave and then resummon. Nice and simple. Thats my two cents, i dont really know if its a valid tactic, but free energy cant be a bad thing, can it?
  15. 1) You could alch the time away, i suppose 2) My bad, ive just seen in a lot of places that you get more charms in CT 3) It does matter if 5 decide to attack you first all at the same time 4) I was referring to the CT again, where you will get ambushed :P I suppose if theres less charms its worth going to the ancient carvern, though.
  16. Because if you can wait 20 minutes till they become unagressive in an adjacent room, then walk in, you wont get ambushed by them all - in fact, youd only get attacked if you attacked first. Combine this with the fact that all mosters in the chaos tunnels drop more charms than normal and you should be onto a winner...
  17. I didnt die last time i tried, just only managed to kill a few :wall: I was wondering - do you think if i waited in an adjacent room for 20 mins the waterfiends would become unagressive? That way its probably safer than the ancient cavern.
  18. Monster:Greater demon Amount: 188 Crimson: 48 | 25.53% Green: 8 | 4.26% Gold: 16 | 8.51% Blue: 2 | 1.06% Total: 74 | 39.36% I cant be sure of the 188 (i have a horrible memory) but it was definetly somewhere in the 180's. Next task is waterfiends, never tried them before :? Are the ones in the chaos tunnels worth going after?
  19. Actually, its rather easy to safespot turoths there, although it only works on the big ones. If you want i can post a few screenschots :D
  20. You'd have thought summoning would have led to mass rants about horses....i cannot see how dynamite would enable guns  the compunds used are completely different. I personally like the idea of this extending everywhere, and with the ability to set up your own mine cart tracks. I dont think the walls should reset every hour - at least they shouldnt on the first levels, becauase that means it's difficult to tunnel a long way. However, maybe once you get to a certain depth the tunnels start resetting? Also, i think they're needs to be LOTS of points where you can come up, one near every city and 2 on the paths in between them, maybe you can tunnel through dungeon walls! (quick kalphite queen anyone?) However, there should only be a few "hub" stations where you can buy/sell supllies and hire dwarves. You could then start tunneling anywhere you liked, occasionaly finding ores. Some spots should have ore ores than other, and the deeper you go the more ores you find. Also, the further you go from a hub the more ores you find. To balance this out, however, you shld get the occasional "cave in", which could block off one of your tunnels! The deeper you are, the more cave ins you get (at deepest level cave ins are regular like once every 3 hours). These could be prevented by propping up your tunnel, but could not be completely avoided. This adds a certain level of difficulty to tunneling everywhere, as larger tunnels are more difficult to maintain, and tunnels underwater would have to go deeper. I also think you should get "rock" walls, which cannot be blasted through and act as barriers (wilderness anyone?). In short, there's simply so much you can do with this idea! Good job for coming up with it :D
  21. wow. I like this guide :D Didnt know this alter was such good exp ^_^ although i suppose i need 5 more lvlv (75 rc) before i can make full use of it. And "defensive stye" trick is one i handt heard of before. lol. great guide 9/10
