Well, this is my idea that is way far off from being implemented, yet it is cool at the same time. Who knows, right?

 

 

 

The Idea

 

Basically, I think we should be able to customize our Melee weapons to attack the way we want, still attacking at the same speed, but with the look we want. All of the animation is done for us, we just make up the frames for it, the amount depending on how fast the weapon is. Yes, I have put way to much thought into this :P

 

 

 

Features

 

An entire interface dedicated to it, opened by the owner of the Warrior's Guild - Harrallak Menarous

 

Interface gives options on each movable part of the real body

 

Options to change neck movement, head movement, and body part movement via rotations of your character in the interface

 

Optional lift allowing more movement of all parts in the air

 

Optional movement of clothing during your attack e.g. your cape blows in the wind before your attack, your amulet floats in the air

 

Automatic tweening :D

 

Movement reverses automatically after running through

 

Saved to your weapon even when unequipped

 

Weapon's name has a © appended to the end e.g. Dragon Halberd ©

 

Weapon once customized becomes untradeable

 

Choose which attack type the customization applies to

 

Update

 

Only 1 customizable weapon allowed per player at a time

 

Only one style can be changed on a weapon at a time

 

You have to erase a current weapon's custom animation by talking to Harrallak Menarous before making a new one

 

 

 

How it would work

 

Talk to Harrallak Menarous and tell him you would like to customize your attack, or right click him and select 'Customize'.

 

 

Options on the Warrior Guild owner

 

 

 

Then the following interface would be opened (or something similar to JaGex's taste) giving you many options on your customizable attack, featuring a rotational movement based on what your character is wearing, human physics, ect. Frames would be used, and played backwards after the attack has completed. You also choose which attack style it is applied to.

It's not a bad idea.. But I think it is a bit too much work.

There are about a million members and they will have to store all these animations in the database..

It is a very good idea. It would be very tough to have an efficient way to store it in the servers. It would also be tough to blend all of the different combinations together smoothly, and without bugs.

I like the idea but I don't think it would ever come out.... :cry:

a very good idea and i could imagine how cool it would look but i think too much work, maybe they could make it somewhat like you said, gd idea though :roll:

Hmm, theres no real point in this but then again, JAGex sometimes add the pointless updates, and this would be cool.

this is good! as long as it's in the warrior's guild, not all 1,000,000 members will be able to get to it, therefore, database space is saved.

if the servers could handle it, i'd be in support 100% no-one would be the same :D

It would probably take a year for jagex to make, :shock: and then, as soon as they're done, the servers would probably explode, and it would take a year for everyone to fix it. #-o
