Alot of metal bands use the instructor on the dvd's and these are probably your best bet on learning how to properly scream without damaging your vocal cords. I personally don't think it's humanly possible, but a buddy of mine does it perfect, so.... That and for scremo, check out Children of Bodom, try and replicate his scream, it's pretty easy. Be careful not to mess up your vocal cords though, that wouldn't be good... You'll want a lot of air in your lungs and use your throat a tiny bit to get the finer details of pitch and grating sorted out. The majority of the work should come straight from your belly though.
