Ask yourself, why aren't they happy for you? They only think about their selfs.

I can see the future. You give them the mask... they steal it... Yes, they are planning something horrible and evil, and this is part of their plan. Do not do it. WHATEVER YOU DO! DONT! I WRN YOU, DO NOT GIVE THE MASK TO THOSE MORTALS! NO DONT DO IT!1!!111!one!11!1!eleven!1

But seriously. Dont do it. Its a guilt trap. My irl friend tried it once, we werent friends anymore. I didnt fall in though- I dont give in to peer pressure easily.

Pretty much done with rs now

If you're not comfortable, which i feel that you aren't, don't let them try it on. simple as that.

Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)

Do not let them try it on. Who cares how they make you feel, its not like you know them irl. You dont know how many stories i have heard about people saving for something and then a friend scams them out of it.

Its hard to believe that they would choose pixels > Friends but they do :(

I engineered this thread with precise variables that I know would cause lul-worthy flames.

NO!!! even tho they gave back your d chain could mean they know youll get a rarer item to give to them. next time they log on, tell them that no matter what they do to try and get it, your not going to fall for their scam. then ignore them.

If they are true friends they'd respect your choice of not letting them wear it.

I know that everything that had to be said, has been said, but i wanted to add this: A true friend might ask you if he could try it on. You say you don't feel comfortable, and he might say something like "Aww come on, i have never worn a rare". When you till him you don't want to lend it again, a good friend would stop asking, and maybe ask again after a month or so. This "good" friend would most certainly not try to make you feel guilty.

In your case, I'd consider just deleting those jokers from the friends list. It's not their business to push your conscience and any decent person wouldn't act like this.

Almost teh same thing happened to me when i was a low level.

I had just saved up enough money to buy rune legs. Then my RL friend asks to try them on, i say sure. Bam he logs. Just don't trust people with stuff you arent willin got lose. Or, make them trade you 20M or watever teh amsk is worth to you while theyre trying it on, as collateral.

Don't lend it to them. I was uneasy lending my highwayman mask to a guy in my clan, I don't blame you for not letting go of your rare! You don't owe them anything.

perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is another

AMEN!

If they bug you too much and make you uneasy, it's easiest just to put them on ignore. Just saying.

as the guy above said, use the ignore button. No more 'guilt trip'
