i feel terrible

Featured Replies

ok so the other day my good friend ( ive know him since lv7) loaned me 900k so i could get a green mask. so after i buy the mask i go fish sharks and pay him back, i dont owe anything now.

of course me friend asks me if he can try the mask on but i say to him no because i dont really feel comfortble with letting someone else use - be it my oldest friend or not.

so then my other friend ( "friend 1"s rl mate) asks if he can try it on. i told him no and why i didnt want him to but now both of them are sending me on this huge guilt trip. yesterday i told him i sold it and i got a pm from him saying "omg he sold it!!!" which was a wp going to friend 2, but friend one says it was meant to mean that someguy sold his mystic without asking -.-

today i told them i bought another one and i still wont let them try it on but they keep asking me why dont i trust them (i told them i didnt want anyone having it onbecause i didnt feel comfortble) and they log outr saying "you put me in a mood" and making me feel real guilty.

anyway... back to the question should i let them try it on for peace sake ? or does it seem to suspicious...

p.s. sorry if its not a suitble question since its not really about the game..

also i let them both try my d chain on when i had one - they gave it back of course so i dont see why they should think "i dont trust them" when i let them try my chain on..

I agree with previous poster. Just because they are your good friends doesn't mean they would pass up an opportunity for around 20m for free.

EDIT: Also, this is about the game. It could be a possible scam.

You payed him back. You owe him nothing. :-w

glad to help. I always have friends ask me to do stuff like that and I always say no and they just have to deal and stop bugging you.

A real friend would understand your concerns and not push the issue.

the only time i would let someone try something of mine on is if they traded me roughly equivalent items to do so. Like if he gave you 18 mill for your mask, then you traded back.

Good idea. Like a collateral, make them trade you something of equal value that way they will want to trade back or they will lose thier item, good idea.

Don't let them try it, To me it looks very suspicious.

They keep asking to wear it, It's just a mask, It's nothing special for looks..

Don't go feeling sorry for them, They want you to feel sorry, It's likely that they steal it, It's just best not to...

They should just respect the fact that it's alot to lose.

I would like to get the most difficult 99 in the game to accomplish. which is woodcutting.
because I had a drunken night in philadelphia and sprayed a fire extinguiser, evacuated a 7 story hotel on the philly stadium, spent the night in jail.. then got on level 2 prob & have to pay 50 a month because I have a job. It's their way of collecting more money out of me.

Unless he's close to you IRL, don't do it. There is always the chance of the temptation, and you don't want to risk losing 18m and a good friend, do you?

This signature is intentionally left blank.

I agree, it could be a scam. I mean you obviousily know him/her very well...but it really isn't worth the miniscule chance of losing all your hard work in making that money. Like someone else, if they were a true friend, they would understand.

Just tell him you dont loan out things over one mil anymore because you dont want to get scammed.

Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

A while back one of my high level "friends" was "borrowing" my obby shield and just stole it. That's pretty pitiful if a guy like 30 levels higher than you is manipulating you just to get more money

Be a great friend or not, don't let them try it if you don't feel comfortable with it.

dude dont all they r doing it when u give them stuff worth 15mil they try and give back making you trust them more but itll get to the stage were u have like a red phat and they ask to try and wham they log and ur gutted dont let them theres no need to feel guilty for it just like when a lvl 17 asked to try my d full helm on lol

They don't need to "try it on", they can see YOU wearing it. I think they'll try steal it if you give it to them.

Hacked 10 years old account, permamently quit if Jagex doesn't return items.

If they're trying to send you on a guilt trip, they probably are planning something. C'mon what's the big deal of just WEARING it?

Guitar_by_Lemeja123.jpg

thats a great point. they are definately up to something, or they just want a cool screenie :P but it's not worth taking the chance.

Vlead.png

Well i don't know how well u know them but i lend my friend stuff if he needs it. Gave dchain to "try it on" and i got it back. In the end it's just a pixel, i know it represents a lot of hard work hours, but i think if you lend something someone and they don't give it back, that only means he's not your friend. Friendship to me is worth more than any phat set or any rare in game.

At first you could gave him that mask to try out, but now i wouldn't do that because NOW he might be tempted to take it. Explain him why you made this decision and forget conversation. Look how he reacts and if he still be friend of yours after some time, give him mask to try on, i bet he will return it :) (but if you loose, don't blame me)

Prayer is good for herbs

dont fall for peer pressure (lol, wow, i sound like a mother). they may be trustworthy or not, that not my call, but it certainly sounds suspicious to me, and i would never let anyone other than me try on any of my rares, so i would just tell them off if they keep asking or sell it. you could even tell them you sold it when you really didnt if that gets them off your back.
