trying to recover from big loss

So today i lost my guthan's spear(dont bother asking how). I had just spent all but my last mil on full guthans just a couple days ago. This is a big loss for me, my net worth is probably only about 5 mil now. I am so discouraged by this that I dont even want to play runescape anymore. So my question is: what advice can you offer for making a quick recovery or encouraging me not to quit rs? The only thing i have going for me not to quit is the time i have put into the game. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. thanks.

first of all sorry to hear that you lost something that great in value. but for the advice i would suggest trying to get a new start as soon as possible the more you think about what you could have to done to be safe the worse you will feel.... so i would suggest just involve yourself in something as soon as possible however hard it may be.

sorry to hear about your warspear lost.. i lost 9m in fally casue of a random i couldnt see on w2.

 

what are your stats?

 

 

 

well since you can use guthans or could of.. here are my favorite mosters to make cash on :

 

 

 

Fire giants these are lvl 86 easy to kill and drops rune skimitars, a ton of fires, fire battle staffs which alch for 9k ea, and half keys as well as left half.

 

 

 

Ankou i fight the lvl 75 ones.. with a db axe, d skimmy, and salve you can hit high and often. these drop laws,deaths, and bloods,, i get around 100k in runes an hour and im 91 combat.

 

 

 

flesh crawlers and Chaos driuds i like killing those if i need a fast 100k in 40 minutes or less.. i would put all the unids rannar and up in the top rows of your bank and the ones harrlander and down in the bottem half so you can sell those 1k ea and the others 2k ea.

I would say just do what you did to earn the 8.5m in the first place.

You could try MTK and let your workers do all the work, in the mean while you could cheer yourself up and go do some CW or PC if you like :D

I went from 30m worth to 5m worth in 1 scam. I would suggest runecrafting, as that is a steady income.

I too recently lost my guthan spear and helm to death. I also lost a whip and rune defender .. Training for 99 defence and I stopped paying attention for like 6-7 mins and I died -.-

I agree with LaLa, runecrafting is probably your best bet at some money for a new spear. My level is 2 lower than yours, yes I know its boring (well maybe not to you but it sure is to me) But if you really want your spear back, it's one of those things you gotta do. Ya kno?

You have good stats I dont think you should quit. I got hacked TWICE in 3 days and in total lost 20m. And in that time my friend who was at my house also got keylogged and lost 100m(he is a famous staker on the pking forums here).

 

You could kill chaos druids and get rannars/unids over rannar. As the others said, runecrafting would probably be another good option.

I don't really consider 5 mil as poor seeing as I'm probably worth only about 4 mil, (1.4m cash + 2.5m coal+herbs in kingdom). I suggest buying bowstrings+yews and making yew longs.

dont worry so much about your loss...members is all about making money :D with your stats you should be able to barrow quite efficiently except for ranging ahrims you may have a bit of a minor problem...who knows you may find another g spear ;) my best record was 3 verac helms and ahrim robe top in a day...if you feel that this is risky, you can train farming and herblore too with ppots or train slayer as slayer monsters give relatively good drops.

 

im sure all of us have lost a huge sum of money at one go one point in time while playing rs...anyway its the community here that keeps me going, not so much my skills and cash :)

when ever i loose my sums of money i runecraft natures i can usealy make around 1k a hour soo thats 300k an hour if u use pouches and abyss
