Well I attempted my hand at terregan for the first time, I really want 1525 to post and Nad, so tell me what you think. C&C is strongly recommended.

Save as png or full quality jpg. The .gif extension screws with color at that size and detail.

i like it

the immediate foreground is great, then background as well, and i love the sky. tiny point of constructive critcism, the contrast between the island around the middle and the sea is quite blatant, (i think probably just because of the light on the water) but otherwise, i love the fact its in purple.

The atmosphere is purple. How often is it purple?

Who ever said it was on planet earth?

the island is like.... just cut off in one part..... looks a little wierd.... and it gets too dark on the right....

Where the sun hits the border of the island it's pretty strange, but if this is your first terragen ever then it's extremely good in comparisant to others :)

Nad said he's gonna help me so thats cool, I mean I guess CandC was the only good thing to ask from was from Nad because no one else really knows terregan.

Anyone can make that in Terragen so easily, I suggest moving onto something like Bryce and doing real landscapes.

I don't. Just saying Nad's not the only one. Umm actually I do. Resave as .png and don't make the island cutoff so sharp. That's all I got I'm a n00b. :oops:

Try messing with surface maps more, currently it doesnt look like you did much if anything with the surface maps..the atmosphere is pretty good, but a simple haze would make it look better, and islands are pretty hard to make look right as nad said to me 'if you dont know how to do beaches yet dont do islands'

actually i love the weird look to the sky. it doesn't look natural or real, but it swirls around and makes the picture more interesting.

The moon (Actually a sun, but whatever :P) is a little too strong. The brightness is too much of a contrast to the rest of the piece. Try and get it to be a little more consistant, or flow better. Other than that, I don't think there is much you can do to improve it (other than getting a new video card to stop the artifacting :P).

lol thanks Keiphus, as of rate now i'm scrapped for time but when i get another chance I'm gonna try even harder and produce something better, nads helping me bit by bit explaining things i'm not sure on and I appreciate it.
