Best F2P iron mining place?

Featured Replies

I want to know best place to mine Iron AND banking them. I use Rune Pickaxe so I won't have problems with other miners.

Thank you already.

I should attempt to create a blog, once again. =|

i really dont see how varrock west is the best because falador mines seem much closer because you can use the stairs to go up and down and bank.

varrock east is better as you can get 3 rocks to yourself and it's fairly close to a bank. Varrock west only has 2 iron rocks you can mine quickly and dwarf mines are not that close to a bank unless you're mining coal.

However, the poster is f2p. The west mines tend to be deserted, while the east are packed with newbs/noobs. Also, there is silver in the west mines, which means additional money.

noobs can't take the rock away from him and there's always another one for them. besides, mining silver would slow you down by at least twice the time, which isn't very profitable.

mining is strange, oftentimes someone level 40-50 can steal iron rocks from a player that's level 70 or more.

i would take the mine near the champions guild (bank in varrock west)

Varrock east mines. If you have money you could get some noobs together, and get them to run to the bank for you, note them, bring them back, then you pay them. I used that when i was f2p. Just remember to pay them less than what the actual full inventory is worth, so you still make a profit

fally..no questions asked

i have a question to ask. fally iron mines have two rocks that are separated by one square. thus ur character has to walk. this dramatically reduces mining time. also the pickaxe with scratch the rock 3 times because u walked.

varrock sw has two rocks that are closer. u just hit once and bam! the route is straight forward.

Falador is only good for mining coal. The answer is definately Varrock west.
