samcowcow
If i put daimond or ruby tips on my addy bolts, and without enchanting them, does it hit better than normal addy bolts?
nerdattack16
I hit better with tips on my bolts than without. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D

IMshadow7
I cannot tell you for sure, but I'm under the impression that gem tips help at least a little bit in terms of damage. Of course, with bolts, one of the biggest benefits is the special effects of the bolts, and those only occur if you have the tips. You can find loads of information, such as mini-guides I have written, my laws, and links to my stories here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=696442 This is a link to the story Council of Oblivion: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=695628
ddaanniiellh
As far as i've seen, they do not do more damage, but I could be wrong. The main point of the tips is to enchant them. I don't really see how a plain tip could do more damage. ~Ddaanniiellh : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube! meol
Check if they add to your ranged bonus. If they don't, they can't hit higher. Easy as cake! :) This signature is intentionally left blank.

Berrakus
Tipped bolts do not hit any different than the same bolts with no tips, you just have a chance for the special to hit if the bolt is tipped and enchanted. Back when there used to be only one type of bolt, you could put barbs on them and make them hit harder. Dexek
The tips make no difference whatsoever. However, if you enchant them, then the special will hit higher than your regular attacks. :) PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
