well, just a few minutes ago, I was minding my business, when I get an mass IM from some person I never met before...

 

 

 

the person said it was about runescape movies, and that if I was interested, I should watch one of their movies (and gave a link to megaupload)

 

 

 

he wasn't even a bot, I was talking to him

 

 

 

he told me that he was being paid to mass IM people about the movie, and when I asked how he got my email, he said his "bosses" gave him a list of emails. When I asked how his bosses got my email, he said that they take them off of fansite forums, the only ones he named were tip.it and runehq (i'm a member of both, although only runehq for a clan thing :P )

 

 

 

I didn't download it, but I'm wondering if the link could contain some sort of bad link

Could be some sort of scam, I would never open an E-Mail from someone I do not know, I advise you do the same.

Personally, I'd only ever click YouTube videos. Keep to the safe side and don't click it. Knowing most people like that, they are just trying to infect your computer with a keylogger. =;

You shouldn't click a random link that someone sends to you. It might not even re-direct to youtube. Everyone should be very cautious. :anxious:

Unfortunately megaupload urls are easily made into another website that can cause you to download harmful things.

I don't even watch runescape movies on youtube; most are just lame pk vids, and those that aren't are boring to the point of tears, so if anyone ever did send me a link or email to that purpose, I'd ignore it by default anyway.

 

Besides, why would I want to waste time watching someone else play rs when I could be playing myself?
