It's not the most convenient thing, but it is fast, as you have to do it in the desert, require water, and have to drop the granite (it's useless and there's no bank nearby). I used it to get from 78 mining to 85. That was before they nerfed the spot though :(. However, its still good exp :). Just take almost a full inventory of water, wear desert robes and stuff like that. Three spaces in your inventory. Mine 3... drop 3. Good fun :D.
