Double fighter torso/ectophial/etc

I was just wondering, is it possible to get placeholders for this sort of item? I've heard of people dying, then running back to the place where you re-obtain the item, then picking up the one they just dropped, thereby giving them two of the item. Does this work? I'm sure the trip from Canifis pub to the ectofuntus can't be more than three minutes.

Afaik, ecto smashes when you drop it/die.

 

 

 

What happens when you drop a torso? (i've never had one), if you can drop it then you can probably buy a second and pick the first back up. Or like the Bear mask, you can't pick the second back up but you can telegrab it back up. So for ecto, im pretty sure theres no way to get two, for torso, i've no clue.

I knew the ectophial smashed when you dropped it, but not when you died. Ah well.

 

As for the fighter torso, I'm fairly sure it's the same situation as the firecape. If you're quick enough, you can run back and grab it. That's why it's a great option for low-wildy pkers.

 

 

 

Edit: The torso can't be dropped, only destroyed. So you'd have to die with it. Trouble is, how would I die near the Barbarian Assault arena? Are there any foods that poison you when eaten?

when you drop the torso it goes on the ground where you died,doesn't stay in your inv.

 

 

 

as a pker for 3 years,I know these kinda things =D

 

 

 

usually if you pk in edge wildy,you drop torso,you can run back and get it where you died if you're fast enough,other items that stay on ground that I know of are

 

torso,defenders,firecape,legends cape..skillcapes maybe?not sure.

 

 

 

 

 

anyways conclusion,if you die with torso and dont protect,try to amke it back and itll be in the pike,but you won't get 2 at a time.

To the original Poster: the answer depends HEAVILY on the item in question. Ectophial for example (as well as abyssal pouches) disappear the instant you die (even if the item would be part of your 3 items). However some will be on the floor if you die. Torso is one of them that it is dropped on the floor after you die. You will need nitroglycerin to kill yourself near the BA reward captain (and making sure that torso is not one of the items you are keeping), then tele back to BA, buy a Torso from the captain and pick the other one off the ground.

Coudln't you just buy a new torso from the captain? :-k
