Where's Ned? Did the programmers forget?

You could just go the back way you come out of after completing the quest in the volcano? Try that.

Hope this helps

I've allready done the quest. It just seems like there might be a way to find a ride to Crandor. I bet there isn't, but Ned says he'll give you a ride again if you want but then he's not there. Also, you'll find him in two places after the quest. On top of the boat, and at his house.

This isn't important , just kind of "investigating."

Easy is to back in normal way, just go to karamja, go to volcano then i think keep north throught doors and you get to same place, if i need to get to that place i do in this way.

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.

I'm not being clear enough. My bad. I've been to Crandor many times after beating the dragon slayer quest. It all started with boredom. I was at Crandor just messing around and made my way over to the boat, and thought I'd look around. Then I found Ned up top on the ship still. So I figured I'd talk to him in Dranyor village. After talking to him he says he'll give you a ride to Crandor again, you just have to meet him at the docks.

I know how to get to, and from Crandor. I'm just saying Ned talks like there's an easy way of getting there on a boat, so you don't have to walk through Kamaja.

The reason I'm poking around with this question is it seems like Jagex was going to let you use Ned to get back to Crandor, just they forgot to get back around to it.

If you go to the docks you'll find the person you bought the boat off of. You say something like "hey that's my boat" He tells you it just looks like the boat. But you find out he just painted over the name of yours, and kind of stole it.

So your boat is now at the docks, and at Crandor.

Ned is in two places too. At Crandor on the boat, and at his house in Dranyor.

I think Jagex didn't mean to do this. Maybe they programmed Ned to say, and do that. Then forgot about it, and went with the guy at the docks that you bought it off of, and then stole it back. That would make alot of sence, because when you go to Crandor it's kind of hard to find Ned because he's on top of the boat. So the beta testers wouldn't see him unless they walked around on the top of the boat at Crandor.

I know.. I know... I'm kind of pursuing this a little much, but that's how you find new things out.

We must get to the bottom of this :wall: lol

Nah, just sloppy programming...

Ned is in two places too. At Crandor on the boat,

and at his house in Dranyor. I think Jagex didn't mean to do this. Maybe

they programmed Ned to say, and do that. Then forgot about it,

Well, Ned always needs to be in Draynor village to be able to allow

others to do that stage of the DS quest and to allow you and others to

do the Prince Ali rescue quest.

And Ned needs to be on Crandor Island as well since he was shipwrecked with you.

Now Jagex could have written Ned's conversation code better than

they did, but they chose the simplest, most direct method.

Namely, have him in both places at once.

I think that I would have had Ned ride sea turtles back to the mainland

to get "help" after the shipwreck rather than have him hang around on Crandor.

^That's what I kind of thought too, he shouldn't still be at Crandor.

I think Jagex should correct the way he leads you to belive that he'll give you a ride.

Jagex are covertly updating old quests as we go along

and dragon slayer is ollllld, way before they could make npcs vanish a re-appear. He never used to say he'd sailyou again untilthey updated dragon slayer so to me it sounds like a bug.

Ideally if they "fixed" this Ned would vanish from Draynor when your doing dragon slayer, then vanish from Crandor and re-appear in draynor when you finish
