He hasn't responded.

Oh yes he has. He wants to keep the baby, and he says he WILL take care of it.

It's not a pet. It will require you to be its parents past the stage of infancy.

You said he will call it a child after it is past being a baby, which is stating the obvious. It is irrelevant to my post because I didn't question the use of the word baby.

Hah, incorrect. In your post, you imply that he will not take care of his child when it is older. While he has clearly said that he will take care of his "baby". Thus, you imply that you consider that his statement formulated with the word "baby" is no longer valid when the kid becomes a "child". Don't try meddling with logic Paperclips, it's not your strength :P

In my post, I implied that raising a child and, afterwards, a preteen and a teenager will be different from the pet-like nurture of a baby. I did not imply that he will abandon his child.

Have you considered adoption?

Give your kid to goddess week :P

I will NOT act like my child is a pet. There, you happy? I was referring to him/her as a baby because he/she IS going to be a baby, am I correct? And yes, I WILL be a parent, I WILL man up to the situation. So unless you have some answers for my questions, quit responding and go somewhere else.

Hehe calm down. Why do you need to justify yourself to other people?

If you were convinced you were going to be such a great parent, you wouldn't feel the need to answer or prove yourself to people who question your parenting skills on a forum O:)

The only person you need to prove anything to is yourself.

What's the point in getting wound up, if you already know you can do the job right?

You got the answers to your questions, that's all you needed, wasn't it?

Or are you still here seeking something a little more say ... like acceptance and approval?

This is the wrong place to be searching for it. You should be seeking it in the man who stares back at you in the mirror :D

I suggest you lay off the "calm down" comments. Ever notice what happens when you tell an upset person that? They become lots more hostile and angry and for very good reason. What you are in effect telling them is that you are superior to them because you can keep your cool and they can't.

I still have one question unanswers (the emancipation law of sd) and more opinions on if the baby needs her name, and any other opinions are appreciated.

Umm, no..

She was pointing out that he was acting angry, and that he shouldn't act angry because it doesn't really matter what the people on these forums say to him anyway.. I don't see how that is acting superior to them..

As for Vulaxi, good luck on the child rearing I guess.. Don't really know much about this topic myself..

Don't be mad at Paper, he was only saying that as a underage parent, it would be much harder to raise a child than if you were of age.. Between school, homework, and child raising, you'll have little time to really just enjoy your teenage years.. No more proms, no more parties, no more going out on the town, no more football games... Your life will be basically devoted to the raising of your child..

I don't think Vulxai was upset by my comment :D

What you are in effect telling them is that you are superior to them because you can keep your cool and they can't.

No, actually people see their own strengths and insecurities in others

Vulxai doesn't think I'm superior because I can keep my cool. You do though, so perhaps we can get to know each other and try to break that barrier? Only if you'd like to of course.

They become lots more hostile and angry

The above comment refers to how you act, not all upset people and clearly not Vulxai either.

I'm pretty sure someone has said this before but if you find a good doctor you feel comfortable talking to, you might like to approach them about these questions?

Not all doctors are great listeners (hell, I've even walked out of an office once and went to at least 5-10 before I found a lovely hippy lady doctor I felt comfortable with) but there will always be one you connect with.

It's probably best you do that (in my opinion) anyway because bubs is going to need a good family doctor while she is growing inside the womb and out, that you would like to keep referring to.

It would be a good idea (at least I think so) that you start to build that comfortable, rapport relationship with them now.

I'm pretty sure Goddess was meaning well....

Vulxai, I think you will be fine as a "father." I highly disagree with paperclips; As you said, he doesn't know you or your family, and has no right to judge you.

Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword.

Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!

Woops. I referred to the baby as a she without thinking.

Sorry, my cousin is 20 weeks pregnant and just found out it was a girl, I just finished looking at the scan photos, it must've still been on the mind

Unoalexi: Well it's not much different except I'll have something to do. I don't party, I don't go to football game, the free time I do have I just bum around because I don't really like the kids at my school, so

IGoddessI: Don't worry, I was mad or offended in any way by your post, just got a little worked up for pretty much saying I'm not going to be a good father.

Bloodredsword: Thanks!
