October 21, 200718 yr Hey all, My first main kind of bombed out so I've decided to make a new one, his current stats are 50 63 40. When I trained from 40-50 attack, I didn't really notice that I was hitting more. My long-term goal is 99 defense before 99 combat (reaaallly long term, I know), so at first I was thinking I should get 60-70 attack and around 80 str, I'd be in the 90s. Is there much of a difference between 50 and 60 att, or even 50 and 70? I'll be using a rune scimitar and power amulet for training. If you could recommend att/str lvls for 99 defense that would be great as well. Thank you. :) The ULTIMATE Runescape weapon

This is only if you're only going to train, train, and train. I say stay 50 Attack and 70-ish Strength. With 99 Defense and less than 99 Combat, you can't afford the levels from Attack and Strength. I know that 70/70/70 is Combat 87. So, 60/80/99 with 90 Hitpoints and 43 Prayer gets you 98 Combat. Good luck.

Prayer -> Longer Higher Hits Range -> Higher Hits Magic -> Higher Hits, but mainly MORE hits Attack -> More Hits Strength -> Higher Hits Defence -> Less Hits Hitpoints -> More Life Im not sure why I told you all that, but, since your a main, you dont need to be a pure. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

I always keep my combat lvl in mind. You should do with your character what you want to do.

October 21, 200718 yr Why 99 defence when your pking. Is it because your affraid of losing your stuff? Pking is aobut risking not making sure you don't die - or at least that what I think. And if I were you I wud get 50/90/99 - at somewhere close to lvl 100 cb. This way you wil hit pretty high, and your opponents will get something out of fighting you, since you will not be impossible to hit if they have decent att. Check my 99/99 magic - 99/99 ranged 88 hp - 71 combat blog!

Bit stick with 99 defence and maybe just get 60 attack and 80 str. If he is just tanking Cows in Lumbridge, you don't need to hit through 70 Defense. NEWS FLASH: Monsters in RuneScape do not have armor. Why would you want 99 Defense in F2P??? No cape, no high monsters, no way to tell you have 99 Defense. Is this a personal goal of the soul or something? Unless you're P2P, where 99 Defense has numerous advantages. Can you please restate the purpose of this thread, please, please? Thanks.
