~^ Getting my first 99 ^~

I was thinking of getting a 99 skill, and I was wondering which one to go for?

My criteria would be:

1- Fast

2- Affordable

Also, how would I get the materials/what prices?

So does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Fast and Affordable? Well, if you don't mind being called a noob:

Fletching - Dunno prices, but I know its easy and you're close.

Cooking - Raw lobs 250 ea and can be sold around that. Sharks you'd have to ask a member.

or, longer, but less nooby in my opinion:

Firemaking - Willows are what.. 20 each? Takes like 150k of them for 99.

Thieving? I'm not a member, but I've heard its fast exp.

Hunter? Again, not a member, but I know you make like 30m doing chins, and it can be done in less than 2 months.

Hope this helps. My prices may be wrong as well.

I guess cause I never saw the need. I also felt that if I moved into the version of the game that was always changing that it would in some way invalidate the work that I had already put into my account.

he might as well go for fletching, and his cooking isnt even ranked so it would be pointless to go for that

Where can you buy and sell the lobbs?

And firemaking is actually quite expensive, as it 'burns up cash' , where as some 99s (eg hunter, smithing, fletching) will make some money.

.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.

In terms of fletching does anyone know any ways of selling 'unstrung yew longbows' (I don't mean 'just go on the forums')

Fishing and cooking, with unlimited feathers, its like 1.2m to go from like 60-99 fishing. Plus you can cook em and get the cooking one too.

Ignore the people who shout at people for getting 99 Fletching. Any 99 is hard work and you should go for it IMO.

The current prices are, Yew Logs: 350, B String: 200.

Buy as many as you need/afford. Cut, and string, sell for 600-620each. \'

ROFL.

Fishing takes 300+ hours. That's fly fishing.

If you want to make money and 99 Cooking, you should stick with Monkfish. That'll take 500+ hours but a trimmed Fishing Cape and 30m-ish.

GO FOR IT!!!

that takes too long, i got from about 40-50 with about 1k feathers

and about 1hr...

fletching is fast

fm is pretty fast (world 1, 3, 4, 5 any populated noob world)

there are about 50k-2m willows at general shop, even more oaks....

lobs for cooking arent worth it till about 70+ cooking, before that, u burn too many and lose too much money...

umm, theiving, dont really know about that, know its fast but its a pain

(for your fingers and for ur character), u gotta click a buhizillion times

Don't sell unstrung yew longs. I would even buy if you really felt the need. But its simple. Stringing gets just much exp as cutting the log but the log costs 350 ea while the string is 200 ea, not to mention you could sell yew longs for a lot more to alchers(or alch yourself: can you say on the way to 99 mage?). Stringing used to also be a lot faster but I am not sure completely on time with the make x update.
