October 28, 200718 yr i have a pure defence and i it to be able to wear rune platebody but theres no way in the world i would able to deafeat elvarq the dragon (lvl 83). anyone have any ideas on how i could do this.. my stats are: attk-1 str-6 def-40 hp-28 mage and range-1 cheers WHAT!

October 28, 200718 yr Bring lots of food and have at least 2 other people drop food while you are fighting so you can pick it up and eat. Thats my only suggestion if your f2p

October 28, 200718 yr My only strategy would be to range, there are sidestep spots for doing this while fighting both elvarg and the lesser demons. You best bet though would be to get some friend to drop food for you durng the fight.

October 28, 200718 yr You do get combat lvls from getting att/str/ranged/mage lvls. Well why don't you just get higher def/hp, and wait a while until you can kill it? And he gotta be member otherwise he can't get enough quest points to do the quest without having str/att/mage or ranged lvled. Check my 99/99 magic - 99/99 ranged 88 hp - 71 combat blog!
October 28, 200718 yr Will still get levels on completing, as it'll be a few defence levels, and a lot more strength levels. The other pure def choice (members) is to plough on until 60 for dragon. Maybe range, with poisoned bolts, as then the strength reward will be in a different combat type. If you use both an antifire potion and the shield, then you should be 100% immune to the fire attack. If trying to melee, then a poisoned dagger and recoils, plus friendly food droppers - with low attack you'd probably have to stay on the attack even after poison takes, as you won't be hitting very often.
October 28, 200718 yr first, if u still wanna be def pure, u wont do this quest... 2nd, i congratulate you, i hate def pures because they simply wont die but are hard as hells to train and def/atk warriors pwn with their 50 1's in a row TIP: get about 20 str and rune plate chain, legs, and full helm with anti D get a full invent of swordies and a str pot then maybe, just MAYBE you have a chance just so u kno, the things i put up there is so that u wont lose ur rune... get a power ammy or def ammy Duh, Duh Duh, Click Here and Join NOW!!![br]Click here to feed me a Rare Candy![br]

October 29, 200718 yr Author thanks for the responcs everyone. i was thinking there is a chance i could keep world switching until i found a world with some people in the cage and if one of them dies the dragon would have lost a mjority of its damage. or if i found someone who was willing to attk it until it was around 5hp they could either tele or something and i could take it from there.... WHAT!
October 29, 200718 yr there is a safespot somewhere southeast in the dragon's cage get your magic to 17 since that will not add up combat levels and then use air bolt from the safe spot. bring a few lobbies in case it goes wrong i did this with some account of mine, i went from cmbt 30 to cmbt 40 :P Proud owner of a ~Fire Cape~!

The reward is defence (levels all combat types) and strength (levels melee) - getting a good enough melee combat to do damage (other than by recoiling) adds more melee level, so going ranged may mean a lower overall level.
