April 10, 200521 yr Top 40 UK A lot of people here are huge fans of Music, so I thought I would make a topic where we can discuss the week̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s top 40 single̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s in the UK. It is announced Sunday̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s late afternoon and here is this week̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s top 40. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/singles.shtml So what do people think? I think Tony Christie Ft Peter Kay (Is This The Way To) Amarillo Is a brilliant song and cause its for comic relief its even better :P {Each sunday i will post the link to the new top 40 single chart, onto this topic rather than making brand new topic every sunday}
April 10, 200521 yr alot of poeple here are fans of music but the uk top 40 chart is not music that requires talent and skill its just bassically which song is played the most.
April 10, 200521 yr alot of poeple here are fans of music but the uk top 40 chart is not music that requires talent and skill its just bassically which song is played the most. It's not about airplay in the UK... it's all about the sales. :?
April 11, 200521 yr You know that Ian Van Dahl crap that was number one a few weeks ago. The one with the hot girls in the video. Well apparently that was like the lowest ever selling number one ever. Just goes to show how poor the charts are these days. April 13, 200521 yr Arn't cabin crews and sunset strippers song basiclly the same song? Maybe its just me...
April 13, 200521 yr Yep, Falling Star and Star to Fall are in fact both based on exactly the same song released some random time in the 70's (methinks) Anyway, personally i love Radio 1 to bits, listen to it, like, constantly (bought a portable radio to listen to it even more i'm that obsessed! >_<) Amarillo's a decent song, much prefer bands like The Deadbeats (still unsigned, check out 'One Music' then check out Rob Da Bank's Unsigned list, it's the top one on there, called 'Moonshine'), The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs or Franz Ferdinand to top the charts rather than some hip-hop rubbish (Yes, i hate it, and don't call me racist, just because i don't like hip-hop, which is mainly black, doesn't mean i don't like black people. Heck, BBC became racist towards white people with the release of the radio channel '1Xtra', which is 'dedicated to only black music' so yeah, they don't play white music at all...which is just so racist towards white people it's ridiculous, erm, can you tell i have lots to say?
April 14, 200521 yr Well i can honestly say there's only one song on that list that i would listen to the whole way through, and that's Sterephonics new single. Not really my kind of music but it's ok. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
April 14, 200521 yr Pah, the charts are horrible. I didn't realise that there was so much pop rubbish in there. There are only three decent songs in it - Feeder - Feeling a Moment, Stereophonics - Dakota, and Green Day - Holiday.
April 16, 200521 yr You know that Ian Van Dahl crap that was number one a few weeks ago. The one with the hot girls in the video. Well apparently that was like the lowest ever selling number one ever. Just goes to show how poor the charts are these days. A belgian nr 1 in UK charts? :shock:
