April 12, 200521 yr Author I liked everquest2 more because mainly of justa few things. 1 Graphics capability 2 World to explore 3 You instead of being alone all the time you are with other peeps this is meant to keep your social skills to an reasonable amount 4 Housing nough said 5 Raids... nough said 6 uncountable amount of items. 7 uncountable amount of quests (yes some are mandatory to move further.) 8 mounts (yes that means horses (spirit horses and maj dul (flying carpets)they are the fastest) 9 you are restricted to one server... thank god (this prevents you from serverhoping) kill same monster over and over) 10 glitches getting fixed every single day (to keep the cheaters at bey) 11 the money system is far more advanced then just having gold... it spreads to Platinum gold silver and copper) you need 100 copper to have 1 silver 100 silver to make 1 gold etc. 12 more items/quests/fixes almost every day! Had enough? Graphics for WoW.... am i looking at a cartoon or an adult game? cant list any more WoW because well i havent played the game (and i dont want to) PS. i would actually prefer EQ instead of EQ2 is that list what everquest2 does or wow because those are things that wow does. 1. graphics too good loady take way too long 2. wow has a world to explore also check the world map 3.in wow you need a group to go to dungeons but not killing a little monster. 4.housing=useless... 5.raids raids raids raids. wow has raid partys that you can be in. 6.same here 7.same here 8.same here but no freakin flying carpets, we got your fire undead steeds to your mechanical osterage *and im not kidding* 9. restriceted to one server will lag you beyond all hope, wow has like 35 servers and you cant server hop because your basicly tied to that server unless you transfer and that can only happen if ur on a high population server. 10.same here! we got gm 11.it goes from 100copper to 1 silver and 100 silver to 1 gold 12.SAME HERE no, now give me more.
April 12, 200521 yr The graphics on world of warcraft aren't that cartoony; they are a little, but this lets them get away with far more than the EQ people can in terms of realism. Sounds silly, but look at it this way: with realistic graphics for the main thing, people are going to expect realistic graphics for everything, which includes making places look realistic, and designing buildings to be realistic, etc. On WOW, the cartoony-ness not only adds a nice "imaginary" element to it (like the game, Alice), but also lets them create unrealistic settings, in that the cartoony style tricks people into suspending their disbelief somewhat. deviantart account

April 13, 200521 yr Players on other different servers can't talk to each other. I play a lvl 35 Human paladin on the Draenor server.Really? Sweet I'm a level 28 hunter on draenor aswell.
April 13, 200521 yr I have a level 29 warrior and level 48 priest on the Doomhammer server (I play USA). I would definitely pick WoW over Everquest 2. Why? Okay, first of all: EQ2 doesn't even have a pvp system. That's a major letdown. In WoW even if you play PvE (player vs environment), you can attack back people who raid your city. EQ2 lags too much, I watched my friend play it. I'm happy I didn't buy it. And WoW is getting a cool patch soon so that you can get ranks (but alliance/horde will have different ranks). A GM said there will also be a special rank "city protector" which allows you to teleport to your own city (Stormwind etc.) and you can only get it if you've had the most kills that week. There will be also other ranks like lieutenant and so on. They will be all based on how many players you've killed. It will be nearly impossible to "lame" kills for better equipment (you will be able to buy better stuff at the barracks when your rank gets higher) because if you kill a person repeatedly, the system will remember it and you'll get less and less points every time you kill the same person over and over again.
April 13, 200521 yr Author im only lvl 25 so it will be a set back for me since im such a low level.. *sigh*
April 13, 200521 yr there are 30 servers in total you twit.... you wouldnt be able to play the game with 100's of thousands of people on at the same time on 1 server also housing is how you sell stuff (and how u brag about how rich you are) instead of running out into random zones and yelling WTS (want to sell) Great hammer of blah blah you can set up your seller for a 24 hour period (max) while still selling instead of having your guy camp in your house untill every thing is sold (which u can still do) http://everquest2.station.sony.com/en/ <( *-* )> <(*-* <) (> *-*)> <( *-* )>

April 14, 200521 yr lol i would venture a guess that wow has the largest fan base of any game to date.
April 14, 200521 yr Author i wonder why they call it world of warcraft? maybe because everyone in the freakin world loves this game! out with the old geforce2mx in with the new 128mb vid card
April 14, 200521 yr i think its called world of warcraft because its set in the world where warcraft 1,2, and 3 took place. so essentially it is the 'world' of the warcraft games :D
April 14, 200521 yr It could be called world of warcraft because it vastly outselling any other computer game to day, and it is still to be released in China and New Zealand. :P I have a level 51 Undead Warlock on the "Illidan" U.S. realm, and I can say for certain, this is the most entertaining MMO to date. If you have the cash, and the computer to upgrade from runescape, DO SO... you will not regret it for even a second. The world, in WoW, is much more dynamic than runescape, and although I don't have much of a basis for comparison, EQ2. You will constantly encounter things you have never seen before. For example, Several days back, I say a tauren on her kodo mount increased in size 10 fold in the middle of orgrimmar... I didn't, and still don't know what item caused it, but it cracked me up :) People worry about being a "noob" when they start, but the game is designed to be just as chanlanging and fun at level 20 than it is at level 60 with various "instance" dungions to explore, and many, MANY quests to complete. I got level 90 in RS with 85 mining, and I felt more confident at level 20 on World of Warcraft. People also complain about the graphics, but honestly, any one screenshot can never do the game justice... How smooth and lively the graphics are. The trade skill system is also awesome, and for those who don't know: You are alloud to train in two primary proffessions, and as many secondary proffessions as you want. Primary proffessions include: Mining - Same idea as runescape, except ore spawns randomly blacksmithing - Same idea as RS Engineering - make neat gadgets and just plain cool stuff Herblawism - Pick plants found randomly Alchemist - Use plants to make potions, can transmute at laster levels Tailor - collect "cloth" and make your own cloth items Skinning - skin beasts for hides Leatherworking - Use hides to make leather armor Enchanting - Drain the essence from magic items, to "enchant" other items Secondary skills: First aid - create bandages to heal yourself and others quickly cooking - make foods that have special bonuses fishing - go fishing :) The main perk to the game is definately the PvP. The PvP system is awesome, and set up so there is little to loss for death. The battles, even one on ones, are extremely intense and make everything, even positioning, terrain, and timing vital to victory. Mass PvP is easily accesible, as groups of up to 40 can be formed, known as "raid groups". Often multiple raid groups will attack a major city or boss. The game also creates a very good community as it isn't every one for themselves, it is the Horde Vs. The Alliance. The feeling of "it's us vs. them" is another one of my favorite things about the game. The downsides There aren't many, and the main one is definately the cost. In my opinion though, it is worth every penny. But off the top of my head... - if you are playing a PvP server, which is optional, getting "ganked" or killed by some one many levels higher than you, is frustrating, but you can always kill players lower level than yourself to vent :P - Server lag can be a problem during peak hours, 6pm - 9 pm, where the servers can crash and just perform poorly, but in the last week anyway, they have not been a serious issue. If any one has any questions about the game, feel free to ask, as I will do the best I can to answer, must convert more to the ways of warcraft
April 14, 200521 yr Author in response to that post, those who have no experience what so ever with the warcraft games or history check out one of the games and get familiar with the story line cause then you wouldnt know what was going on, the game takes place after warcraft3 and its expansions.
April 15, 200521 yr Neither please. Do i want to pay 15$ a month for a game? no. Especialy when neither are very fun at all. I can maybe stand paying 5-10$ a month even if its a fun MMORPG (which WoW and EQ2 are not) So... instead i'll choose the hidden option number 3. Guild wars :)

Guild wars :) IMO if it's a good game (and as you said you're willing to pay for a fun MMORPG), the price isn't really an issue especially if it costs only $15 a month. That's an average of 50 cents a day. You probably spend at least$ 40 a month on soda and other things you don't need, $15 for playing a really awesome game for a month is nothing.

WoW HAS been released in NewZealand, and has been for a couple of months... I could go for a 10 minute drive to go buy 1 now.. if i really really wanted to :P

April 15, 200521 yr lol i would venture a guess that wow has the largest fan base of any game to date. MMORPGs cut out a giant portion of the audience just with their genre. It doesn't appeal to a lot of people for many reasons. You're extremely wrong, and (for me anyway) have lost any respect I have for your opinion, since you sound 99.9% like a fanboy.
