The end of runescape?

Featured Replies

Yes, because game developers want to ruin their games.

You fail. Bad.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
Merchants are middlemen. They cannot create demand or supply for an item.

They have the ability to temporarily influence prices, and they certainly do make it harder for buyers and sellers to get good deals. But they cannot make an entire market go down -- only an imbalance of supply and demand can do that.

but, cant they? i mean they are trying to buy it alot? also, how many of them have 85 slayer? its not 0, and its not all.

By definition, merchants aren't end consumers of the items they buy. They only buy them to resell.

so, they create fake demand meanin market instability?

The first real indicator of RS going 'down' (except for sudden collapse) would be the gradual decline in the number of servers available. That and a string of completely superfluous updates (i.e., updates that really add nothing to the game ... onces that stretched developers manage to get done in time).

GE will not ruin merchanting, although it may ruin the tactics that many currently use. Those that are smart about it (and probably really like the merchanting part of the game), will likely flourish quite nicely with GE. Those that just do it for quick gp will probably have to start doing something more useful.

WARNING: Prone to ramble ... but you probably already know that!

naw, you know what's really going to end Runescape? People like you that overreact about every update. People like you that make conspiracy rants because they change the graphics for a tree, or a rock, or something that has no effect at all. People like you that make me wish that whoever that is in that one guy's sig, would hurry up and make the face stabbing machine, so that I could Intahwebz-stab you in the neck.

i don't think jagex would kill of runescape, if mechscape were to come out i doubt it would have members right off the spot and if rs was killed alot of funding would be lost maybe they gonna kill rs off in the long term :?

though that kinda seems like a waste 7 years on a game getting lots of staff and buying many servers just to ditch it all...

Jagex won't kill Rs, Why'd you think they're still making decent updates?

They wouldn't spend most of the month making g-wars just to shut down a few months afterwards :/

Think, if they ruin mechanting a majority of the players will be done with runescape.

Being a merchant for a living, and because or this update, you think all merchants will quit Runescape? They'll have to get over it I guess and hope for the best <.< :ohnoes:

F2P for life :D

if this ruins merchanting i will be very happy.

now people who gather high-end items will be able to sell them for more than they are able to now.

but in all likeliness it will just change merchanting. people will just stay at the ge all day looking for deals then they will buy and sell for more.

I doubt that this will be the end of RS. They are trying to get people to stop complaining so they are taking some suggestions. When they relize its not helping they will go back to coming up with their on ideas. Mechscape... dont know what to say there. Ill probably try it if its f2p. If its like RS but in the future that would be a good game. There you go my thoughts on the matter.
