What Is The Best Monster To Kill for Profit (At my levels)?

Featured Replies

Stats:

92 Combat

77 Attack

73 Strength

74 Defence (probably will be 75 by 11/17)

62 Ranged

75 Magic

75 Hitpoints

52 Prayer

-I'm looking for monsters that drop 1M+ items.

-I have a team of 2 on tap, and 3-4 if necessary. Godwars is possible, but am I strong enough to pull it off?

-I have over 1k of every type of rune (For monsters I need to mage)

-I have about 6M to spend on Gear

-I am very stratigic, so I am not concerned about the fact that I may die. I feel as though I can stay alive against MOST monsters.

DO NOT SUGGEST:

-Barrows (I do it, and I'm not very lucky (3 Drops in 300+ Trips))

-Metal Drags (I do that as well)

Any and all other suggestions are welcomed.

Get slayer up and make money from slayer monsters.

Barrows!

Nah, just kidding. :P

How about ankous, fire giants, or do some slayer? Blue dragons would be good if you banked the hides and bones (or one of those) as well.

Im at 60 Slayer, I'd go to 65, but I don't know about staking at dusties.

I've tried fire giants before, but they only offer Dragon Med's at best. I'm looking for monsters that drop 1M+ items. I shoulda probably posted that in the title

As in, monsters that drop singular items that are worth 1M+? Yeah, I got nothing that's not on your forbidden list. Pretty much anything that drops level three clues, because that's pretty much your only hope without metal dragons or Barrows. Or train to 65/85/90 Slayer, for dusties/abyssal demons/dark beasts. Good luck on that though. :P

LOL. It is a short list. I was thinking like DKing. I have teammates who are willing to come with. But..., do I have the stats to do it?

ZpFishingSkillChamp.gif

Dusties are horrible if you're looking for steady cash. I've killed thousands, got 1 D chain. Over the time though, I've much more money off monsters like Aberrant Spectres, Blue Dragons, Green Dragons, Iron Dragons, etc, etc.

A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read.

Due to your forbidden list, there aren't many choices for monsters that drop singluar items worth 1m+.

I would suggest either fire giants, ankou, or slayer tasks for your training. They would probably be among the best drops/xp you could get with your current stats.

Does anyone think I'd be capable of doing the Godwars dungeon with a group of people with about the same stats as mine.

ZpFishingSkillChamp.gif

Ankous are the best for you since you dont like fire giants. And if you want 1m+ drops, try finding a friend, buy full veracs and go kq-ing.

Ankous?

Oh and also, I have full V. Do you think I'm capable of KQ-ing?

Ankous, which are found in the Stronghold of Security,

drop many profitable items such as

Bloods

Deaths

P Ess (Noted)

Mith Ore (Noted)

Clue scroll, lvl 3

Even though it might not suit your 1m+ drop, they do drop these items (aside from the clue) very often. In my experience, you'll earn at least 100k worth of items per trip. Only bad thing is they hit consistently.

As for the Kq-ing, its possible if you have 2 or 3 lvl 100's fighting with you.

Just watch your health and it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the tips on anokus :D. I might have to try him out. Right now I'm at the metal drags, which have to date given me my only 1m+ drop (A Visage, though I might have burned 15M in runes getting it, but thats besides the point). I'm beginning to wonder about Godwars...

I read up on KQ, and I think I'll hold off on it for a while, until my friend and I get at least 95+ CB.

ZpFishingSkillChamp.gif

you write Godwars in almost every post in this thread (hoping someone will approve :), but - no I don't think you can be effective there with your stats(even with group). GWD bosses are Hard.

You might be able to get a few kills with a grop, but chances are you will spend more than you will gain

Thank you for being honest. I have my doubts as well...but I'm still doing research on methods that might work.

How about those thing's that drop noted addy bar's in the God War's dungeon.

Veitchy|

If you can get to 65 slayer, you can gain a steady profit from herbs and seeds dropped by spectres, along with the odd clue and lava battlestaff.

A canfis tele in your house and 61 slayer to use the shortcut in the slayer tower would ensure your trips are fairly fast.

Hes talking about Avansies (or something spelled like that) There is a guide on those. Addy bars are good profit.

--------------------------------------------------------------

As for GWD, there is no way for you to do it m8, I'm sorry. Firstly 80+ in all 3 melee stats is a must especially defence, and att/str if your meleeing which you are. You could try going with a group but if all have similar stats as you, you'd probably need 5+ people for zammy and 7-8 for bandos, which is well below profitable. I mean bados hilts, chestplates and tassets can only pay for so much, but with an 8 way split, forget about it.

Secondly, as far as wanting a monster thats a 1m+ dropper, thats going to make your list a handful of monsters and since you can't do GWD it makes it into a handful of monsters, 10 at the most.

You can try KQ'in or DK'in. I think doing Dag Kings, maging rex would be your best bet. Not only do you have d wc's but zerkers and warriors too. And if you can find a couple of friends to hybrid Supreme and Prime, then that increases your chances to seers, archers and muds. Dag Kings are probably your best thing to look into.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Fundamental truth of RS monsters:

- If you go after the ones with big drops, you are relying on luck and will either strike it rich or waste a lot of time and supplies.

- If you go after good monsters without big drops you don't get the chance of a "big score" but you also will consistently make money.

You ruled out Barrows because of bad luck so why set yourself up for the same disappointment with some other monster? Fight something that will make you 250-500k an hour consistently.

Well, I'd like to rely on luck, actually. I'm going for the gold, and if I fail, hey, it was worth the shot, and I got some levels out of it. I'm still doing barrows and metal drags (barrows right now, as a matter of fact), but I don't want them suggested because I already do them.

They Don't hit consitently on me, in d boots, b med, d skirt, and 70 def. IN fact, with 8 sharks i last around 1-1.5 hours there. In the course of a normal trip i get 50-200 deaths, 50-150 bloods, 25 mith ore or so, and 200 p ess, not to mention several hundred addy arrows, and other misc. items. But fire giants are good as well. However, they are harder to get too.

Dking would be good, since you have a team.

Also i would advise ankous, with bones to peaches or guthans you can last forever there. Ankous would make back the money you would spend on your method easily.

With ankous you could just use regular, non barrows melee with full invent of monkfish, you could stay for and hour or so.

There is a guide to ankous in the player made guides on tip.it, it's by kuroi_ame
