My new slayer task is 172 Black Demons. I don't plan on using melee or mage, just range. But, these things are so powerful and take a while to kill. Not to mention, I'm very reluctant to go back to them since last I was there I died. Should I even bother? Would take a long time to finish this one task..

I would burthrope it as its kinda slow with range unless your using mith or better. With melee and pray its alright but i dont think the drops are worth it.

nope. meleeing without prayer, you can only manage around 45 kills. hallying works but it takes a buttload of time, not to mention the slow exp...

I would've done it, theyre ok slayer exp.

Cannon, answer to them all. From a trusty guide you can kill 230 of them an hour with a good range level... I managed 150+. I know your question is answered but... trust me, one of the best slayer xps in the game... not a good thing to miss out on :-k

Actually i hallied they in past year i think, then agility trainings, etc.. i dunno what i will do if i get they, i sure then i don't burthope they and don't use prayer on they and no canon, then just that solutions: Mage they or Range They or Hally they, i dont think then hally kill so slow, hally have very hight damage, just slow, but i hit crazy with hally, specially if i boost myself with super attacks ;) or str boost too..

Dude, has anyone ever understood you ever??

I tried ranging them. Far too slow.

 

 

 

I tried Guthaning them but they still hit far too often at 80 def and I kept having to run to baby blues to heal.

 

 

 

In the end I found the best bet is to pray melee and just kill them with melee. I used approx 8 prayer pots(4) per 100 killed.

 

 

 

Most likely operated at a loss but at the end of the day Black Demons give awesome slayer and melee XP which is worth it in the long run.
