Shadow warriors for training

I just did legends and now have access to the training basement with the Shadow Warriors. Since there is a fence, would you suggest them as a possible ranger trainer? How are they on melee training? Finally, it mentions that they are droppers of dragon squire halves--how often or common a drop are they?

Very rare drop for the half shield, not to mention the half shield is worthless now. There are definitly better training areas for range than the warriors, Caged Ogres and Fire Giants are two.

I would not range them, as there are more convenient monsters to range with safespots.

 

 

 

They are ok to melee, but the xp isn't great.

 

 

 

I am told that they often drop key halves and left shield halves, but I have only gotten a few key halves for the multipe times I have been there on slayer assignments.

If it is possible to train ranged through the fence I wouldn't recommend it as there are far better places to train ranged at such as the fire giants, ogres, dust devils etc. As for melee training they are fairly decent xp but are outclassed against other methods of melee training such as pest control, bandits, giant skeletons etc. The last time I trained there I got about 55-60k an hour whereas when I did pest control i got 80-90k an hour.

 

 

 

Shadow Warriors do drop dragon left halves but they are a very rare drop so you shouldn't really ever expect to get one there as you'd be in for a very long wait.

Left half is practically worthless now anyways. There are better monsters such as ogres that drop better things anyways
