Welcome to the very first GTEC event! What's It All About: Christmas is coming and with Jagex still struggling in that war against rule-breakers (bots, RWTs, hackers, scammers) GTEC is in the mood for good cheer and giving! So, this event will be all about conga lines, bot-reporting, muting, and even a mini-drop party to conclude it....all done by YOU! Date: December 15th Time: 5:00pm Eastern Standard World: 102 F2P Meet At: The Plan: Everyone wanting to come shall meet at the designated place, we will all form a conga line and then march across RuneScape stopping at: - Varrock Palaces Yew Garden - Edgeville Cemetery Yews - Falador's Southern Road (Yews) - Port Sarim Northern Yews - Draynor Village Willow Field and at each location everyone reporting every obvious bot/autoer! How to Identify A Bot: - Level 3 - 10 - Basic clothing - Never speaking - Can cut yews/willows - Weilds a rune axe - Goes through the same motions, walking the same basic path. Mini-Drop Party: After the long tour of RuneScape while reporting bots along the way, the whole group will be led to a secret location for a Mini-drop party and pizza&beer! *Hidden location is to cut down on players coming to the party only* ~ Items to be dropped ~ - Pizza&beer - Rune weapons - Runes (all types) - Gems - "rare" armors - Ores & Bars - Cash - And more! :mrgreen: The drop party isn't going to be any easy task of pickings! We're expecting some vegation to be popping up in the area so it'll take quick skills and sharp eyes to find those items! GTEC is a branch off of the popular player-made Newspaper The Gielinor Tribune that does 1 big event a month (as planned) especially for all our readers and open to everyone! Cuz wat if they not bots...I know if they dont talk and r level 3 they r bots but if they rnt? 1 more thing. Do we just report or can we kill em?? Like in that guy's bot killing guide. After event To answer your questions: - Yes, New York Time. - For a player to be so ignorant to create an account that looks EXACTLY like a bot and not realize reports would be all over it....its a very slim chance indeed. - You may do as you wish about killing, but we won't be camping out on these spots to take time to kill them. - Everyone will (hopefully) stay in one group and after we've visiting all the bot-populated sites the GTEC leaders (me included) will guide everyone to the selected area for the Drop Party.
