Smithing ideas

Featured Replies

The majority of people do one of three paths:

1. Gold - Expensive, boring, but good exp. This is used with goldsmith gaunts and the ores are smelted into bars and sold.

2. Cannonballs - Buy steel bars and smith them into cannonballs, sell for a small profit, also you can increase profit by making your own bars.

3. Knives - Some people prefer getting tons of iron ore and rings of forging, smelting the bars and then making them into knives.

Alright, but...

1) Too expensive for me :XD:

2) Cannonballs are no profit now with lowering prices.

3) Iron knives are now 25 ea...

Wakka and a few others buy iron/coal and make steel bars, then make those into plates.

I am unsure if that makes you a profit or not. I think you take a loss :?

Apparently, my signature was to big.

People always say canonballs is the fastest exp.

Well I would go for the ring of forging and the iron knives.

Maybe you can use all the knives for some range exp. But at your level I doubt it goes hard.

There are three choices with Smithing.

1. VERY VERY slow, profit.

2. VERY slow, no profit.

3. Slow, small loss.

4. Semi slow, big loss.

Answers.

1. Smelt cannon balls, still turns a mild profit.

2. Knives, which now might even be near a loss right now.

3. Addy bolts/Mith bolts Buying the bars, smith, fletch, the prices are dropping so quick that it's becoming more a loss (Thanks bone bolts for killing my training.)

4. Gold ores Big loss if bought since every 500gp gets ya 56.5 exp with gold gloves, no loss if you mine but that's ALOT more slow.

So, pick your poison and have fun.

Suggestion: You can use Anchor on Waterfiends - is cheap if to compare to GS & effective with crush attack & it hit like Whip.
