Would it be worth it for me to spend the time to get a fighter torso? I have no idea how good it is and after getting the penance gloves last week, I don't want to go through all of that horrible work if its not useful. I do not pk, when I fight 90% of the time its slayer, the other 10% is to kill something for its supplies. Currently I use a granite plate, and I don't plan to get barrows or dragon any time soon.

i dont think that 4 str bonus matters enough to go through the torture of barbarian asaut so i'd go with a rune pl8 or a barrows pl8

If you have some friends or a good team that can complete it fast, go for it. It's a great plate to have for training.

At the moment you should wear rune plate, then start saving for dragon plate. Have you tried changing slayer masters to get good drop npcs or doing jellys for clue scrolls? This will give you more cash so you can buy better combat gear

I use it pcing, doing short fights(Jade Vine and such), and slayer monsters that I have to pray against(Aberrant Spectres).

Its worth it for the cercumstantial (sp?) uses... get it, but don't use it for slayer.

Yeah I agree, it's good to have as a back-up in bank incase you loose any others, but it has a less range defence bonus and a lower mage so I would only use it for meleeing monsters.

 

 

 

The points aren't hard especially if you have high ranks.
